Randy said if sales were good with the Handsome collection there would be a good chance that Borderlands would be remastered for PS4. Has there been any recent news? I searched around, but didnt find anything. Figured i’d come to the place where people would know.

Randy tweeted that backwards compatability should be adequate to handle Borderlands 1, on both Xbox One and PS4. Therefore, a remake for either system is highly unlikely.

Randy confirmed that it’s not going to happen. The remaster dream is dead and I’m still bummed out about it.
Isn’t there some sort of program for PS4? I thought “PS Now” was supposed to handle that? Granted, it is not a free service.

PS now is horrible for us tasty Canadians. I played a few games and it uses way too much data. I guess i’ll be breaking out my PS3
Thats a huge let down. This was something I was really hoping for. They managed to remaster BL2 and TPS. I dont understand why they cant for BL1. I guess its just a matter of not wanting to spend the resources
Yes but it is really expensive and you can’t purchase games either, only renting them which is really bad for a game like Borderlands. Even if you have a copy you’ll still need to rent it too.
And Borderlands isn’t available yet anyway (unlike Xbox One).
Of course you can also pay for a subscription for an even higher fee to play hundreds of games you never want to play.
Not to mention being a cloud service.
Same here. I was looking forward to replaying it on PS4 and doing all the trophies again. I had a blast replaying BL2.
The quality is fairly bad too. It stutters a lot. I’d rather just dust off my PS3 
still hoping we will get a remastered version or direct port on PS4.
I wouldn’t mind this myself even though I don’t have a PS4 since it could mean an update/rerelease for PC so better graphics (no more fuzzy textures specifically is near a wall or fence in Old Haven for example)
Even a non-remastered version I’d be fine with. I wouldn’t mind dropping down an extra 20/30 dollars if they just made it so you can buy it digitally on the PSN Store on the PS4. It’s not so much me wanting a physical version of Borderlands on the PS4 it’s more of me wanting to just play it lol. I’m alright with a straight up digital only copy

Considering they’ve been releasing ports of PS2 games on the PS4, perhaps they may consider giving some PS3 games the same treatment ? I’d easily buy a port of the first Borderlands
I’ve given up hope on any PS4 port ever happening at this point.
