How does Gaige raid?

So, I’m doing Gaige now. I’ve already taken down Pete, because he’s very much a one-strategy-fits-all guy. All the other ones, though, I’m stumped on.

How does one kill Hyperius, Gee, Voracidious, and the dragons? What gear, build, etc, do I need?

If possible, I’d like to do it without hitting 400/600 anarchy before I start. Always seemed a little cheaty to me.

Here’s the build I’m currently using. I’ve taken down Pete, Hyperious Terramorphous and Vora with this. Main weapons are Fibbers, DPUH, Lady Fists, CC, Storm, Heart Breaker, Blockhead and Hail. Shields are Antagonist, Blockade, Bee, Sham and FotF. Class mods are L. Roboteer, L. Anarchist or True Neutral Necromancer (the mag increase will allow Gaige to use an Infinity in case pistol ammo becomes a problem ). As far as no BSS, my reasoning is that not all raid bosses have minions and even the ones that do don’t have them for very long so I went with her other shield boosting skills. And as for the 400+ stacks of Anarchy- they come in handy for using Discord…

So, I’m gonna’ be focusing on Hyperius right now. I’m guessing that its similar to the others–group the bots, hit with a corrosive Topneaa, shoot at Hyperius, repeat until dead?

Yeah. Topneea or Dahlminator haha
Hail works great due to his easy crit spot and you can even use the FotFH to help you with health issues because Hail is a Moxxi weapon after all.

Fibber is a good way to start the fight or use until Hyperius goes bersek.

The basic loadout that I use is Hail, Fibber, Topneea and the Slagga. FotFH is a bless for raiding in my opinion and the Quasar is a good way to group up the bots.

I use a Hail to take out the bots and a fire Fibber to take down Hyperious- depending on my stacks (and ammo pool) I might even try a Redundant Fibber on him…

OK, so I’ve gotten Hyperius, Gee, and Pete down. I’m going to take on Voracidious and the Dragons, and I’m friggin’ terrified.

Every video I’ve seen seems to suggest that I need max Anarchy going into the fight with Voracidious. Is that accurate? I’ve got a Norfleet, but no Sham, so I can’t do Shamfleeting.

Vora is the worst. Get 400 stacks and a lot of Moxxi guns: Hail, the fire Touch and Heartbreaker.
Also, use the Tresspasser to kill the chief while he has the shield.

I managed to kill him on my first (lucky) try- had max stacks and used the Fibber, Hail, Trespasser and DPUH (backed up with a GN) along with an Evolution as a shield and a L. Anarchist as the com…

Yeah, I dunno if this is gonna’ work. I don’t have a Hail, or a Fibber. None of the essential Gaige raiding weapons, really.

(If anyone would be willing to part with an item…)

What’s your platform? I’m on the 360 and currently have both Gaige and Krieg at Bandit Slaughter (OP8)- Krieg is about to start and Gaige is at the final round. I already have several Hails and Fibbers to spare if you want one or two…

PC, sorry. :frowning:

So, I tried again and beat him on my first shot. So thats nice.

I maxed out my stacks.I had a Neutral Good Necromancer, a Grog, and a Norfleet. I had Interspersed Outburst too. I waited for Gaige to get drunk, fired at Voracidious till I was down, then pulled off the best damn Trespasser shot on the Chief I’ve ever seen, then kept firing at him until I was down again, then kept firing until I was out of ammo, then killed him with one DPUH shot and a second left on the clock.

Crazy thing is, I found out after the fight I’d equipped a Sheriff’s Badge instead of an Incendiary Bone of the Ancients by mistake. I almost want to try it again with the Bone…

Wish I could’ve done that without the Grog, but I don’t even give a damn anymore.

Woot.

So, now I’m going to fight the dragons.

I’m gonna’ use a similar strategy as I did with Maya: Beehawk, Interspersed Outburst, use DT as a distraction. Sound OK?

Bee + Fibber is better with high Anarchy stacks. Sandhawk is going to fire all over the place!
