“I Never Miss” is a GREAT skill to max out. At 11/5 (Blue Foxy Big Game Hunter COM) you’re looking at 7.7% Sniper Crit Damage per stack. These stacks only go away if you miss with a sniper or exit the game - meaning deaths, missing with a different weapon, and traveling to different locations doesn’t hurt you. You don’t even need to hit crits to stack. It’s amazing.
A good way I’ve found of stacking is to use a low level cryo Skorry Droog. (fire rate prefix freezes fast, Vladof grip for mag size and reload speed, low level so you don’t kill your target) For mobbing, it’s best to wait until you’ve got one enemy left that doesn’t move too fast (bigger Kraggons, Shuggaraths, etc) or wait for someone to stand still for a moment and shoot at you. (most common enemies do this, and so do Dahl ships when they’re dropping off soldiers) With a steady trigger finger, you can get up to 130 stacks in a few clips, which totals out to a little over 1000% sniper crit damage. Hold onto that number til you get to a boss, OHKO, then switch to another weapon to hold onto your stacks until you get to the next boss. Plus, as a cryo weapon, if your target happens to freeze, then that just means free stacks. PLUS, if you’ve got a bunch of stacks of Avalanche from a previous engagement, your freeze chance is increased and those stacks don’t decay too fast either.
Just WATCH THE RECOIL! Go for body shots and shoot a little low, you don’t want to look down and see that you have to start over because you missed one shot out of your volley. This method costs a lot of ammo but one-shotting Deadlift in UVHM makes it all worth it lol.
For bossing, I think I’d suggest a shock Bolshy Droog. (more mag size, and still Vladof grip) But any suggestions are welcome!!
PS - Speaking of Droogs, a Skorry corrosive variant will ruin RK5’s life!
Are we really going down the route of CA style stacking again? I don’t really think it is all that necessary for her (mobbing).
With a good Jakobs why even bother? You will do enough damage to one shot most mobs anyway. Just be consistent with your critical, you will build it up naturally.
Her Skill Silver Lining is very cool though. Pretty much turning any weapon into a Plunkett. So with a at level 60 Longnail you can go to town with the Raids. The problem is as you said…if you miss, you loss all those stacks. So I just play it safe and just use the highest base damage sniper and try not to think about getting to 999.
If you really want to go at it, I guess you can freeze an enemy and use a really low level Vladof. Get your stacks and switch out to the Level 60 Jakobs/Longnail/Snider.
True, the only thing is that with the Plunkett you just need to crit for the free ammo, with Silver Lining you actually need to get the kill. So that’s the only downside I guess.

What about the Pitchfork? For 2 ammo, it should build up 5 stacks at once. Used like a shotgun, it will hit with every pellet. Or the Skullmasher? So Iwajira or Felicity should be good for stack-building.
Possibly, the Skullmasher and the Pitchfork won’t work, haven’t played Aurelia yet.
I’d like to see someone use her original sniper rifle (the starting purple jakobs) to one shot stuff in UVHM because of max stacks (maybe even bosses?). I’d also like to see the sentinel taken out with 7 bullets (shield 1, 2, 3, health, shield + health 1, shield + health 2, shield + health 3) .
I agree with Abvex, don’t worry too much about stacking since she’s strong as is without any stacks (for general mobbing). If you kill a few enemies, crit or no crits, you can get up to about 25-30 stacks very quickly, which equals to 90-100% crit damage, which might as well already be overkill for most enemies.
Yeah…honestly, after thinking it over, this skill is just gravy for an already powerful sniper. However, if you’re about to go into a boss fight and are confident in your crit skills, it’s just a lot of fun to take out someone like Zarpedon or Iwajira in one hit. Plus if you’re playing with friends you can ask someone to duel you then just stack off of them with zero effort.
Gearbox really broke this game with Jack and Aurelia lol. I hope the Claptrap DLC brings a bit more of a challenge.

With that said, one would probably be better off with a purple Foxy Big Game Hunter COM over a blue one. 11/5 I Never Miss doesn’t seem necessary if you already have 10/5, and you get to boost Markswoman and Culling the Herd.

A fast charging tediore shield with one point in bitter rispote makes critical hitting easier too. It seems like ice bunches up on the key areas to critical hit… at least for scavs… haven’t paid attention to it on not scavs.
Do I get stacks shooting piles of trash or stalker dung?
I was too lazy to actually work that deep into UVHM, so I just did this on TVHM…
On the first Sterwin quest to capture the guardians with the pokeball grenade, the second-to-last one (shock wraith) is nice and nearby to a O2 patch, and they dont aggro IMMEDIATELY.
So you just get to stand there and snipe em off as they spawn.
This was done with a purple level 57 Bolshy Droog, and a pretty standard build into sniping and cold money.
BTW: as another afterthought… if youre not that into sniping, or just looking for a good alternative inbetween sniping… Shock IVF and Cryo IVF.
My slots are:
1: Cryo sniper.
2: Cryo IVF.
3: Shock IVF.
4: Any highdamage rocket for second wind emergencies.
