As for means of describing and the like. Please refer to my Let’s Play series which I’m currently conducting on my YT channel. A link can be found on the page of my personal collection.
Umm… don’t you need to do some “tweaking” for UDK? I was under the impression that although the non-official Borderlands UDK (the version that is lost somewhere in the coding on pc discs) can be used to mod stuff that the free UDK doesn’t/won’t comply with the Borderlands stuff? (It appears you mostly copy pasted the old thread’s links and didn’t actually make a vid using the non Borderlands version UDK)
Nevertheless, thanks for porting it over

What do you mean “tweaking.” Also by UDK I of course mean the one delivered with the retail version of the game. I have a paid subscription to the official UDK and I can manage that to work with Borderlands, but I don’t see the need of creating a video over that while my BL UDK already covers everything. I don’t really know what to make of your reply now.
By “tweaking” I meant questionable crap like hacking the file for a certain code or something.
Well… can you use the free version on Steam or do you really need to buy the official version? (The BL’d version isn’t available on Steam last I checked/tried )

You’ll need the GotY retail disk edition to properly access the BL UDK without nasty side effects. I’m sorry bro.
Well thanks god on steam your local save files are saved on the steam cloud too by enabling steam sinchronization.I am using steam version anyway and i did not notice any crash using the editor till now.I used it for quite a while yesterday and nothing happened,to avoid corrupt datas anyway, always have a backup of borderlands files when you try using modding programs its the best choice to go.

Well done, after about more then a year of nothing from anyone besides me, Sleepmaster, NolaFTW and Dopefiend, you are the 1st person who actually went into UDK and delivered a mod without giving up. GG bro, I’ll check this gun out real quick.
Hi, I Remember one of my first and old .upk’s, I decided to show this you, i added a elemental effects to this shields (works like Phoenix Skill) with various elementals (this shield have no recharge delay)
That was more annoying than I originally thought. For some reason the UDK wasn’t letting me delete a part I goofed up on and subsequently a copy+pasted version of it without the goof. It kept saying I couldn’t delete it since it was being referenced (or referencing?) by a part that wasn’t there technically since it was the original part that I had renamed to “delete”.
Fixed it by sending it and everything that wouldn’t delete since the shadow part wanted it to a new package “delete”. Well… that package either is buried somewhere deep in vanilla BLands files or “saved” someone odd since I wasn’t able to find it. When I decided to end my session of frustration it wanted to know if I wanted to save the “delete” upk. I opted to say no. Wanting to make sure it saved my upk correctly aka w/out the parts I moved to a new upk I loaded my package but got an interesting surprise; it said that it couldn’t find the delete.upk and all references to it were set to null. Saving and booting up again did not greet me with the same message.
Posting this here in case someone else can’t delete a naughty part since this got rid of it and no nasty side-effects have happened yet.
Wait… who are you people and where did I come from?
Using the Steam BLands UDK btw in case it makes a difference.
