Appetite for Destruction

Borderlands 2 Gameplay Discussion (Spoilers!)

Having a head scratching moment, and I suspect that I’m missing something that should be pretty obvious. The Torgue Arena Battle Board isn’t offering me any missions, and I’d like to have some fun knocking out the Tier 3 Appetite for Destruction. Do I need to do something to unlock this stuff? I’ve completed Chop Suey and the Tier 3 Pete’s Bar stuff on that character, at the very least (I reset her at some point, but I do know that I’m farther than that on this go).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Gah. Am I going to have to do the other side missions there to unlock it? I thought I had checked that board. I may be mistaken.

Thank you for the assist. I’ll check it out when I get back home. I don’t recall failing AfD before, but I haven’t thought about it for awhile.

The arenas don’t open up until Piston is dead and the vault is opened.

Thank you for the replies! I thought I’d killed Piston on this play through, but it sounds like I haven’t!

It comes from having over 1500 hours in BL 2 and talking with those here who have the same amount or more. I don’t know everything, but I do know quite a bit. Thanks for your faith in me. :smile:

If it’s not in your undiscovered/failed quest list, then you’ve probably haven’t beaten Piston yet. If you have beaten Piston, then check your quest list for it. If you haven’t heard Torgue mentioning blowing the arena up and Moxxi telling him she has other plans then you haven’t beaten Piston yet.

The problems are twofold:

  1. I’ve killed him about 9 times over 4 chars, with resets, and lost track of which are complete

  2. Not home, yet :frowning:

Yyyyeeeeeaaaahhhh… When I got home, I discovered that I was still at Motor Mama. She’s dead, but I have a couple things to clear, obviously.
