A few months in and ive made level 72

Finally getting this thing game figures out. Am actually enjoying farming and uvhm feels n really doable and fun now. I made the mistake of staying in tvhm until i was level 54. Tinas dlc helpes me farm my way out of that hole. I actually wnjoy farming. 2 hours laat nite fot me two lvl 72 slaggas from the hodunks. Ive had great luck getting bees from treants ans have two lvl 72s. Funny thing ia that i has no idea about redweming badaas points until i was at 69. When i spent the 200+ that i has by then thw fame for a lot more dun and less tedious. Easiest farming was knuckledragger who gave me a lvl 72 twin hornet in 30 min. Initially had great luck with WEP LLMs but only trash lately. Next atep is to hopefully solo some raid nosses once ive finished playthrough 3. Anyone want my extra farmed bee? I imagine theyrebrather common.

Wow. I cannot type on this phone. Sry.

Not sure exactly what method you were using to farm for the Slagga (Slag) or Hornet (Corrosive). Just in case you didn’t know, you could fast travel from Sanctuary to Ellie’s garage then go to where the Hodunks are and kill them. Then, travel to Lynchwood thru the gate at the side of the train. Immediately travel back and save and quit. When you reload, you will be on the platform opposite the Hodunks. Your best bet for a Slagga (Slag) is probably either Murduring (Damage+) or Bulets Go Fasterified (Fire Rate+). A good alternative to the Slagga (Slag) is the Florentine (Slag / Shock). If you have enough Seraph Crystals, you can purchase one from the Seraph Vendor in Flamerock Refuge. The main advantage the Florentine (Slag / Shock) has over the Slagga (Slag) is that the Florentine (Slag / Shock) is both Slag and Shock and therefore more useful against shields. Your best bet for a Florentine (Slag / Shock) is probably either Consummate (Damage+) or Impetuous (Fire Rate+).

The same farming concept (for the Slagga (Slag)) can be applied to Knuckledragger. Fast travel from Sanctuary to Claptrap’s Place. Kill Knuckledragger and continue thru to Windshear Waste. Immediately go back and save and quit. When you reload, Knuckledragger will be just oustide the small building you are in and to the right. Your best bet for the Hornet (Corrosive) is probably either Neutralizing (Damage+) or React (Fire Rate+). Unlike the Unkempt Harold (Explosive) (where you want an increased projectile count, aka the Double Penetrating prefix), the Twin prefix for the Hornet (Corrosive) simply isn’t very good and makes it much less accurate at range in addition to consuming more ammo. Personally, I use a React Hornet (Corrosive) and it absolutely destroys Loaders, Surveyors, Armored Psychos, etc.

Yes, I used the Lynchwood trick. Incredibly easy farming technique. I got to sort through a bunch of Gwen’s Heads there, also. Cool little gun. Despite each attempt taking a minute or less, still took me a couple of hours or more to get two slaggas. I got the accurate one, and another which I forget the name of. I got my first slagga from WEP LLMs, but that was a 69 and I wanted a higher level one. I might spend some time trying to get a React Hornet from KD. I had gotten a Floated Hornet from the WEP LLMs, but it was left behind as I levelled up. That was a nice gun for loaders and armored maniac/lunatic types. It also vaporised buzzards. Still trying for the Lyuda, the CC, the bitch and the Sham.

UVHM is really fun. I don’t understand why people think it’s so hard. As long as you know how to farm correctly you should always have top gear as you go. Also have a basic slag strategy (which some characters have it built in).

If anything, BL2’s UVHM and OP8 is what makes me come back to this game. Something TPS couldn’t do for me since they made the scaling and UVHM easier. Eh, I’m probably spoiled because only OP8 is giving something of a challenge.

4.5 hours farming bunker tonite and I got a rightsizing bitch (fire), and 3 shams. I got an 80, and 84 and a 90. All oranges were 72. Going to put my nice Bee away and try the Sham out as I go through Sawtooth for the 3rd storyline playthrough.

If anyone wants one of the lesser shams, let me know. I’m keeping the 90, tho. Also I now have 3 level 72 slaggas; a stabbing, an accurate and the one that fires faster. I could easily part with one of the slaggas, and farming the Hodunks can be a pain.

I’ve spent a great deal of time farming Mobley and Gettle and have gotten crap, at best. I want the Lyuda. In the meantime I have a nice e-tech fire sniper that goes right through enemies.

Been killing the Duke of Orc when I farm Tina’s treants, hoping for an ogre, but no such luck. I’ve done well for Bees there, though. I’ve got two 72s at the moment, and a 69 as well. I’ve gotten Bees from the first blacksmith treant, the treants that spawn in the orc camp, and of course, the bloodfruit pond treants. The first treant, the two just past the spider nest on the left, by the mimic chest, and the second blacksmith treant have never given me a bee. This is out of approximately 50 to 60 treant farming runs.

Just so you don’t waste your time farming, the giant Orc in the forest camp doesn’t drop the Ogre. You can only get that legendary from the Bad Ass round of the Magical Slaughter Dome and killing Warlord Slog or from his transformed version King of the Orcs (I think? that’s it’s name anyway). Either version drops the Ogre though, doesn’t matter which one you kill.

Also, the Treeants at the beginning of the level and the one Treeant by the Mimic chest on the hill by the blacksmith never drop anything, ever. Farming them for a Bee shield is also a waste of time.

Hope that helps you farm a little more efficiently.

If the one that “fires faster” is a Bulets Go Fasterified Slagga (Slag), I would recommend keeping that one and parting with the Cuting Slagga (Slag) - one with the melee attachment.

Like @Jimmy_cornflower stated, you need to kill Warlord Slog in Murderlin’s Temple for a chance to get the Ogre (Explosive) Assault Rifle. See the Ogre wiki page.
