Speedy Jill of All Trades COM

Its been a while since I picked up Gaige, so I thought I would try something different from what I normally use w/ our favorite little anarchist…

I picked up a Blue Jill of all Trades class mod with +6 to SLF and +5 to TBH.

I am very impressed. I understood that the Jill class mods are somewhat well thought of, but ultimately I think that they are pretty overshadowed by the Legendary class mods and Chaotic Nechromancer.

I think its specifically the +6 to SLF that makes it stand out. All my guns felt a bit angrier. My strategy, which can be observed in the video below, centered around putting out some slag with the Slagga and swapping to either a Kitten, Pimpernell, or Twister. Since I do not play Giage as often as Sal or Axton, I can’t 100% vouch that the decisions made in the skill tree are anything near optimal.

Are there any experts who have a say on this COM? Is there a better version of this one that I should try out? @pokapoka ?

The Chaotic Good Necromancer offers the same without cutting your mag size. Also, the fire rate buff is always kicking.
That said, the Jill of All Trades is nice to kill things with the Hail, especially that well known Raid boss. I tend to pick it over the Prodigy for Hail play due to the card boosts.

Do you believe the reduction in mag size is a plus, though? I tend to view it as plus because it allowed for faster anarchy stacking.

Can’t say that I’ve ever used the mod since I haven’t always been a fan of AR but that being said, how well do you think a Shreddifier would work with this?

Not at all. AR arent the ideal gun to stack Anarchy due to the already big mag size. Also, the COM boosts mag size too so it kinda balances things out.

Also, Wires Don’t Talk is going to help with your damage output.

I’ve wondered about that part…it seems counter-intuitive if points are in SLF

I dont think so. It is like negating the penalty from SLF and giving you free reload speed. Only for AR, though

On the pimpernell and twister, its pretty nice. Those last few shots with the pimpernell are really quick.

This is also a plus if the mag size is not big to start, and the reload speed is slow on the AR.

If you have a decent roid shield, I’d go with something like this, but if not, what you’re using should work just fine.

I’d recomend trying out the necro com like gabriel suggested, they are really nice. It’s probably a personal preference thing though.

Well, if the thing is fast stacking Anarchy then go with the Punk COM. The same boost to SLF and TBH plus the card boost to fire rate and penalty to mag size. This is by far the best COM for fast stacking.

The Jill of All Trades is a really nice COM to play with guns like the Hail, Kerblaster, Kitten, Ogre and even Jakobs AR in my opinion due to the boost to AR damage and Mag size on top of the good skills, resulting in a good DPS increase. It is similar to Axton Rifleman COM.

I did like the ogre quite a bit with the Jill. As for the Punk com and the Chaotic Necro, I have them and enjoy them quite a bit. My fast anarchy stacking method involves using the Leg anarchist class mod with a one-pull Jakobs shotgun.

The Chaotic Necro used to be my main with a hail / twister / pimpernell setup.

The Chaotic Good Necromancer COM was my main before I started to play around with the Legendary Catalyst. I still use it against bosses when DoT is useless, though.

I like the Legendary Anarchist but feel like the Punk stacks even faster, especially with shotties. If it only had Typecast Iconoclast instead of Annoyed Android… oh my.

Specialized build for AR is very good on low stacks.

So I’m feeling a Chaotic Good necro in that case.
As a side note, nothing is stopping you from using one COM to stack, then, when you get around where you want to be you can always switch to something else.

In the end, the Jill holds its own all the way up to the end, it seems. As for the way I use it, I could go all day with the Jill and not need to switch. But everyone is different :smile:

In the end the Jill is a really solid COM! I wish I could see some setups centered around COMs like the Punk or the Jill, like yours.

Also, havent even said how nice was your run. Sorry, afro!
The only thing I would change in the spec is moving More Pep, Electrical Burn and With Claws points to something more useful for you, like Unstoppable Force.
