Washburne refinery run through w/ rifleman COMs + Hail

Is anyone willing to do it? I saw Man of Low Moral Fiber tear through washburne pretty easily with a hail and a leg soldier COM. Doing that while swapping between an Impact Rifleman (6 impact 5 onslaught, use when turret is down) and Front Line Rifleman COM (6 battlefront 5 impact, use when turret is up) for maximum DPS would make Axton even more powerful. Also he never showed his spec but I don’t think it included willing, quick charge, or overload, taking a couple of those skills (probably the former two) could make things easier as well. Could someone try this out? I’ve seen very few videos where the hail and/or rifleman COMs were used. Many say Axton is weak and this could prove them wrong.

I would be willing to do it with out the swapping of coms though, pausing to change gear to often ruins the experience for me. I don’t mind doing it pre boss fight, but the back and fourth just slows you down.

Sweet man thank you. Probably best to go with a front line rifleman COM (6 battlefront 5 impact) or a purple front line rifleman COM, depending on how much you want to rely on onslaught.

Is that a difficult run? My Dahl-only Commando uses the Scorpio to fill the “non-e-tech, corrosive assault rifle” niche, and I think he could do it (even if I turned my BAR off). It does have a couple levels of OP buff (from where I’m parked at OP3), but with a Rifleman COM, my biggest concern would be trying to upload that much footage reliably. The Hail, with healing properties, split projectiles, splash damage, high crit damage… what’s the catch?

I’m with Derch - swapping gear out on the fly isn’t that fun for me (although I do swap gear between enemy encampments if their health types dictate it). Once I’m in the fray though, unless I’m trying something unusually weak that doesn’t pan out, I’m sticking with the loadout.

If I don’t fall asleep here in the next few minutes, I’ll give this a spin (it actually sounds kind of fun).

edit - you’re not including Hyperius are you? That’s a whole 'nother ball game.

Not including Hyperius. It’s an easy run. Man of low Moral Fiber did it easily with a less damaging COM at Op8. Only catch with the hail is the arcing projectiles. If you are accurate with it and use a ferocious prefix it will wreck stuff. Not as effective against bandits because they are harder to hit/crit. Nobody uses it for some reason. Might be fun to do a run with a heavy gunner COM as well.

I just ran it with my Scorpio and a Rifleman COM. PWR and BUL loaders ate Dahlminator fire (try reflecting that, wankers!), and ARR loaders were de-shielded with a Sloth, but the Scorpio was doing the heavy lifting. I may play this again, but use a Dahl allegiance relic instead of a corrosive Bone of the Ancients. I’ll do less damage per shot, but I kept forgetting to keep my turret out (so I’m not sweating the cooldown), and Dahl weapons with the burst delay reduction are way more fun for me.

Nobody uses it for some reason[/quote]Yeah, the first time I ever picked one up, I was like, “hell no… that’s not even fun.” and didn’t use it for quite a while. Per my own weapon restrictions, I only get to use a fire one, and while I do have to aim low to get it to shoot forward at head level, I use it as my Vladof “shotgun”. When fleshy targets are in shotgun range, it’s fairly easy to land critical hits with it.
