Hyperion Assassins in Digistruck Peak

Can anyone tell me…
Does the Hyperion Assassins in Digistruck Peak drop character skins
like the ones in Southpaw Steam & Power ?

Digistruct enemies/bosses have the same loot pool as their non-digistruct counterpart. i’ve seen digitruct Dukino mom drop a character skin, so maybe yes.
The skin drop chance from assassins however very low but more easier to farm in Southpaw than the Peak.

Are the loot tables really unaltered? I haven’t yet seen or heard of the Assassins dropping an Emperor in Digistruct. I’m not saying they can’t. Actually, I’m hoping that people will chime in with things like, “I get them all of the time!”

I’ve had the Emperor drop a few times from the assassins, a Hellfire from Scorch, and the Infinity pistol from Doc Mercy.

AFAIK yes, and the consensus seems to be that drop rates are better although that’sgoing to be difficult to prove one way or another without voodoo software.

That said, I’ve only ever gotten one skin (compared to literal tons of gear) so RNG is - as always - very much a factor.

As the others have said, the loot pool is most definitely the same (although there are claims that it is actually higher in Digistruct).

I’ve gotten more Hellfires from the Double Scorches than I know what to do with.

That being said even if it were slightly higher, I wouldn’t bother trying to farm it there.

Southpaw is far easier, and depending on your set up, you can do a run in record time.

I am loving the response to this great input.
I am still wondering if anyone has actually seen a skin drop from the Assassins.

It just boring after the 500th time.

Very true. It does get dull, but I think you’d feel the same grind sooner or later with the DP run as well. You could do the run with 4 people at a time, as that may help.

But then again, they’d all have to be on board with the loot division and the task.

I get them all of the time. Ok, not all of the time. I don’t run DP anymore because I got all 6 characters top OP8 already and dying there for a potential bearcat does not feel very satisfactory. But I used to get them regularly. There was at least one time when I got 2 emperors during the same run (not all that unlikely, given the fact that there’s 4 chances for it).

Now, the skins are a different matter. Their droprate is bugged, so if you aren’t willing or unable to cheat, I recommend giving up. There was a time where I would do multiple daily Southpaw Steam & Power runs for weeks, because I liked the map and wanted to test builds and/or weapons or just generally want to mob for a bit (I genuinely enjoy that map - a lot) and I have never gotten one. If you feel lucky, you should play the lottery instead. Now, farming an Emperor? Easy. Just don’t give up and do regular Southpaw Steam & Power runs, it’s way faster.

I actually enjoy running Southpaw, as well. While running it last night, I finally got an Emperor drop. I may continue running through there for fun, and to get a little collection of Emperors in different elements.
