UVHM reset bug (xp)?

Hey guys. I’ve been doing the UVHM reset where I reset just after turning the quest in to Jack after saving him and something feels wrong; it feels as though I get lower XP than I should at my level.

I’m currently at 65 on my ‘Jack’, and I get roughly 45k xp per starting mission. Is this what it should be at this level or am I approx 5k xp short per “welcome to helios” turn-in?

When I read about people doing the reset thing, they say they net 50k xp starting from 60, but at 60, all I got was 41k. That’s 9k short of 50k.

Hmm. A couple of game restarts (not UVHM resets) later and it seems to be resolved. Weird.

I did this trick to get my Athena from 50 to 70, the higher my level was, the lower the xp I got… around level 50 I got 50k xp, but the closer I was to level 70 the lower it was, I’d say around 45k xp per mission… Even if we got 50k xp per run, it’s stupid considering we need more and more xp to get one new level each time…

I’m sure it has to do with your level, compared to the “par” level of the mission. By par, I mean the level you were meant to complete the mission on. The level that you are when you accept the mission will dictate what level that mission is. If you wait a bit to complete it and level up doing side quests, etc. the mission level will be below your level, resulting in less XP earned.

Huh. I’d think powerleveling to 70 would make UVHM more difficult? Or do you do it after beating UVHM?

It’s just the first mission over and over again, in UVHM so it’s always on the same level as your character.

At first the XP give you almost 2 bars out of 10 you need to reach a new level, but after a while this mission gave me just 1 and a half bar.

I think I didn’t beat UVHM when I did this, I just did TVHM + Claptastic Voyage in TVHM

As I recall the the last time I farmed the first quest in UVVHM, the XP for it increased slightly every level. I haven’t tried it in a number of months, though, so it’s possible something may have changed (but someone else will have to check it - God knows I have no plans of running that quest ever again :stuck_out_tongue: )
