When I start Borderlands tps, I get to the main menu fine. As soon as I hit start I get the message saying ‘this disc is unreadable’. I have tried getting a new disc as well, but I get the same error.
what system? If PC then enter key on steam, and download it.
Xbox 360. And I made an error, I went to get the disc cleaned not a new disc.
Unfortunately, this happens. You can check this thread in 360 Tech Support for some ideas on what to check. Have a close look at both the outside and inside edges of your disk for evidence of scoring or cracks. I actually just had to replace my 360 because the dvd drive finally failed, but I’ve also had media issues.
The disk itself is fine. Absolutely no scratches or cracks. I’ve tried it on multiple consoles and the same thing happens
I actually have the exact same issue. TPS just stopped working on the 360. The disc has no scratches or anything whatsoever. Other games play fine. No idea whats causing it.
The disc looking fine doesn’t say anything about the condition of the data on it. Have you installed the game to the HDD or USB storage? That often prevents such issues, and the game plays better that way too.
If that doesn’t work, you need a new disc. (You said it failed to read on another console too, right? Otherwise, it could also be a faulty DVD drive.)
I tried installing it, however it got to around 30% and came up with an error. I’ve decided to get a new disc. Thanks for the help
