Gaige the Hyperion Loyal Melee-mancer!

So, in an effort to keep trying new things, I give you this:

Gaige, the Hyperion loyal Melee-mancer!

http://bl2skills.com/mechromancer.html#500051040100500010000000000000000000

In case you are unfamiliar with loyalties, here are the
basics:

Only Hyperion weapons, so no rocket launchers or assault
rifles.

Only Hyperion shields, so only amp shields.

Only Hyperion grenades, so only singularity or Nasty
surprise (if I can find one).

Only relics that relate to Hyperion weapons.

The only Mechromancer Hyperion COM is Roboteer which provides
bonuses to action skill cooldown rate, melee damage, Made of Sterner Stuff, Potent as a Pony
and Strength of Five Gorillas.

Why Hyperion you ask? Well, it came down to Tediore or
Hyperion since those are the only manufactures that I haven’t used for a loyalty
run yet. The only Tediore COM is Jill of All Trades which pluses assault rifle
damage and mag size, and since there are no Tediore assault rifles, Hyperion
seemed the natural choice.

Any input is welcome since I’ve not used a ton of Hyperion
weapons in my hundreds of hours that I’ve played Borderlands and I only plan on
playing through the end of True Vault Hunter with this.

Since this eliminates transfusion grenades for you Cooking up Trouble seems needed- unless Hyperion makes Moxxi weapons. The Butcher would seem an ideal weapon for you in this build, and the only skill a L. Roboteer wouldn’t hit is Annoyed Android- otherwise, it should do well once you get to level 50 (raid bosses like Pete, Terra and Hyperious might be another story though…).

Good point, I also forgot Upshot Robot stack buff Gaige’s melee damage too, awesome!

Love it… at first, I thought that your build was terrible, but then I realized you’re only level 27.
I might skip Close Enough (which seems largely made to handle high Anarchy stack counts), and put those points into Cooking Up Trouble. I see points in More Pep (presumably to get the point in Strength of Five Gorillas), but man, I could not live without Smaller Lighter Faster… Gaige is a total noob when it comes to reloading weapons.
Get on with your bad self - I love the amp shield mechanic, but find my Hyperion allegiance character (Maya) often using some Anshin or Pangolin thing unless she’s going on a sniping run.
Only relics that relate to Hyperion weapons.
What sort of relic would be disqualified here? Stockpile relics that buff rocket and assault rifle ammo? There is an allegiance relic that I use often (when I’m not rolling with a single element loadout) that buffs damage and reload speed (did I mention that Gaige cannot reload a weapon to save her life?)
The only Mechromancer Hyperion COM is Roboteer which provides bonuses to action skill cooldown rate, melee damage, Made of Sterner Stuff, Potent as a Ponyand Strength of Five Gorillas.
Oh man, limiting your COMs to Hyperion only is tough… that’s cutting out a fair amount of gameplay variety that I can’t stomach. Still, you could do worse than the Roboteer COM.

Sorry, I should’ve been more specific, I will only be using Allegiance Relics that effect Hyperion weapons, which can be bonuses to max accuracy, damage and reload speed.

Here is an example of an end of True Vault Hunter build:

It basically adds Ordered Chaos for With Claws and Blood Soaked Shields because Blood Soaked + Amp = Profit!

I’m currently using the L. Roboteer with this build- used it basically for raid bosses and just kind of stuck with it:

Main weapons are Fibbers, Hail, Pimpernel, GN, Lady Fists and shotguns…

Heartbreaker is your moxxie weapon, a guess a bearded one could work if you want a healing melee weapon. You also can get a stabby lady fist and make a day of it. Also Lady fist and a Bee is already potent, both happen to be Hyperion. Same with ur Bee + bouncing fibber.

The Fibber is Hyperion if you want to play with Anarchy. And, as you said, BSS really supports amp shields.
The bad thing is that the Roboteer is the best COM for a nova spam setup with DT and Gaige. Unfortunately, Nova shields are made by Maliwan and Torgue only. ):

You dont want to go down to Sharing is Caring because it is wasted with Amp shields so save these points. There are a lot of buffs to DT, so it is wise to pick Make it Sparkle to improve it even further.
If you want to play with Anarchy get a Fibber. If you want to play without it get a Lady Fist.
As said, Heartbreaker is your moxxi gun and you can use either the Quasar or the Nasty Surprise - if you went down to get Make it Sparkle, the little tesla effect of the Quasar procs Electrical Burn effectivelly. If you want a Slag tool, go with Slag Singularity or Nasty Surprise.

And I just remembered that the Legendary Mechromancer, one of her best COMs, is Hyperion. Pick it over the Roboteer when you can, it is just a lot better.

Cool, I didn’t look at the legendary COMs when deciding on the manufacturer. I should be able to get one from Pete or Voracidous on Normal mode.
Sorry, I should’ve been more specific, I will only be using Allegiance Relics that effect Hyperion weapons, which can be bonuses to max accuracy, damage and reload speed.
Do you have all three variants? I’ve been collecting these across all manufacturers for a couple years now, and there are only two that I have not yet found: Jakobs (mag size + recoil) and Hyperion (Max Accuracy and Reload). Kudos if you already have them, but it’s taken me for-freakin-ever to build this collection.

Also - which are you going to use? As in, for me it’s a no-brainer that the damage and reload speed buff relic is the way to go, but if you’re going to use one that involves the Max Accuracy dimension, let me know how that works for you.

The Slow Hand is another Hyperion Moxxi gun, but I wouldn’t recommended a bladed one; close combat with this bathes the player in elemental splash. I would recommend almost any other type though: it’s a fine piece of armament.

My other locality characters have taught me to use the ones that I find. My Torgue gunzerker’s first relic was +6% fire rate, luckily I found a better one within a few levels, but I too haven’t had much success finding them, I’ve been fortunate enough to to find a couple ones that match the character I’m playing at the time they drop.

If you’re on Steam and I find any Hyperion (or other ones besides the two I’m looking for ), I’ll hang onto them for you. I play at OP3, so it’ll probably in the neighborhood of that level.

edit - seriously, this just happened; it’s yours if you want it. The reload speed is no ball of fire, but let me know.

Lol, sorry I’m PS3/4, but thanks for the consideration. One of the things I enjoy about loyalty characters is how excited I can get when a common that I want/need drops.
