I just finished the main story, no DLC yet. My 3 brothers and I have finished BL1 together, 2 of us have played BL2 already. Why not do this one before BL2?
The only spoilers I can think of are the visions of the Warrior vault, but we know pretty early on in BL2 that Jack wants to wake the warrior, so knowing that he’s made of fire and rock doesn’t seem like that big a spoiler.
Have I forgotten/missed something? Or is there some stuff in the DLCs that would seriously spoil the BL2 story?
Well, there’s the brief scene of Lilith being forced to charge the vault key in there too. If someone is paying really close attention, they’ll know about the destruction of New Haven, but you only really find out about that in BL2 through a couple of the lost echo side quests and not the main mission. There’s the whole Sheriff of Lynchwood thing, but again that’s not really key to the main story.
The ending of Claptastic Voyage actually sets up the opening of BL2 rather nicely (excellent job by the crew on those cut-scenes btw.) The only thing I can think of that it would spoil would be the connection between
Hammerlock and Claptrap
The fact that a certain vault hunter is missing from the intro. And then Lilith mentions it at the end.
In the DLC it does? Guess I’ll find out soon. But, sounds like the 4 of us could play the vanilla game without spoiling anything in BL2. Thanks all!
You meant DLC only? I think there might be something spoilery in regards to Roland in it but I can’t remember for sure 100%.
As for rest of BL2, it kinda does for some stuff here and there but fairly minor compared to the Roland spoiler.
Lilith says Roland Dies in the first mission.
