Loot Midget Possible Nerf?

Before this starts up, I know Random is Random.

Anyway, Loot Midgets lately have been very stingy. Very stingy. After 450 kills, I stand at 2 pearls and 3 legendaries, 150 ancient relics and the rest junk. On kills before this, after 100 kills, I had 3 pearls and 6 legendaries. Has anyone else been experiencing this horrible RNG.

It always comes in phases like that - thatā€™s how you know itā€™s actually random with a fixed probability, rather than some odd-ball variable rate based on prior success/failure. (Counter-intuitive, I know, but then statistics IS very counter-intuitive)

If it helps, remember that ā€˜randomā€™ distribution does not mean ā€˜evenā€™ distribution. Clusters, peaks, dry spells etc are to be expected.

Made 10 runs through Thousand Cuts this morning and got 3 relics, a pitchfork and a Maggie

As matter of factā€¦ If Iā€™ve got a friend that wants to level up, I grab a 72 to on and run through the WEP and let them loot the cases behind me so they can sell or store the weapons for later. I donā€™t get many pearls, but the relics are 300k a piece and the legendaries come in handy later in the game or they get skill pts AND a fat wallet.

Iā€™ve been farming the Loot Midgets in the WEP for about 2 hours looking for lvl 55ish Legendary Psyco mod, to replace my lvl 30, and in that time Iā€™ve had the following drops

lvl 55 Hefty Baby Maker (Electric)
lvl 52 Skorry White Death
lvl 55 Social Bitch
lvl 55 Tactical Hornet (Always Corrosive)
lvl 53 Venture Invader (Corrosive)
lvl 54 Legendary Psycho Mod

As well as 21 relics ranging from lvl 52-56.

I donā€™t think they were nerfed, itā€™s just bad luck. Example:
I got nothing from Ā± 10 midgets in TVHM, but my friend got 5 legendaries.
The same goes with any boss - I was farming Harold for 15 minutes, got Hard version.
My friend got Explicit, Hard and Crammed.
Sometimes, you are just really out of luck, but you will start getting ā€œnormal amountsā€ of drops sooner or later :wink:

I noticed one day as I farmed wep loot midgets, I didnā€™t even get relics in 10 runs. I ended up turning it to offline and got relics and legendaries within the first couple runs. Could just be a coincidence

Made about 10 runs with my psycho on nvhm and got a gub, badaboom, bunny and a corrosive nasty suprise.
