Action Skill Damage Added to Barrier?

I know firing through the Barrier adds Amp damage to every shot.

Question:

Does Action Skill Damage on a Mod add to that amp Damage when firing through a barrier.

Nope. With the exception of ties that bind, no action skill that increases your weapon’s damage scales with action skill damage.

Great question though john. In 2 years of maining zane, its never actually occurred to me as a possibility. It would however make sense if it did and would be a good draw to play with barrier outside of chain zane.

New Question…why is Donneybook showing Gun Damage of 23% and 3.7% Health Regen at 5/5 when all the online skill planners show Gun Damage of 15% and Health Regen of 2.5% at 5/5

GBX site is super out of date as you said. Also, the in game skills should take Death Follows kill skill increase into account.

Another Question:

If all I am using is Hyperion and Vladof guns with no splash…Is Duct Tape Mod worth the point?

Am using Barrier and Mantis Cannon…

Depends what grenade you are using.

I generally use a radiation cloning hex so its worth it for occasional radsplosions if a killer enemy has a rad dot.

If using a mesmer it would be useful.

Its not a popular skill outside of a single point but i do like it, especially with low mag weapons.

I am using a shock recurring hex that has the rad damage anoint on ASE.

And Lordy that anoint kicks in all the time. Guys are exploding from rad damage all around me.

Guess I better keep that one point in duct tape mod!

I think DTM is a good skill regardless of whether you are using splash weapons. With high fire rate weapons like Vladof and Hyperion, you proc grenades even more often. I’d still only drop one point in there though. It’s a great “one-point-wonder” skill.

Pretty sure after all this time even the Barrier anointment that gives accuracy and Crit damage stops giving its effect after the barrier original duration ends instead of having the effect as long as the barrier stays active.

New question

I use a barrier MNTIS cannon build with a revolter so the only damage I’m really getting from my Grenade is the anoint and a very occasional spawn of a grenade which I think is coming from duct tape mod.

Is there any way I can increase the amount of Grenades being spawned??

I can’t throw them because of the two action skills.

But I’m an old Axton\Moze guy and I’d sure like to chuck more then….”occasional”

Especially if I could figure out a way to get a bunch of Mesmer’s deployed during a fight.

Duct tape mod is your only option with those two skills.

Small mag size and faster reload skills put more out (sound patronising there i guess lol)

What about using the 20% spawn Anoint?

The way you get pounded with ramming attacks and melees in the Chrystal fight….

Might that not help as well?

That’s for the next patch when they introduce hybrid classes. “While Iron Barrier is active taking damage has a 20% chance to spawn a grenade”
