RakkStab - Static Charge or White Elephant?

I am farming my RakkStab gear in this loot the universe event, and only by my tests I couldn’t choose one, so I want to know your opinion guys, which one do you think is the best on RakkStab Fl4k: Static Charge, White Elephant or any other one, and why?

I feel I should say static charge, but honestly I have a decent version of both so I shall test it first

@Gercs, after testing I’ll have to say white elephant - atleast to single targets. due to a higher base damage output, and the ability to have splash anointment on a wyvern.

I remember a few people having success with the Dragon artifact though

UTD is best bar none, but if that level of cheese is too high for you generally static charge is better for more scenarios than white ele.

Static Charge. There’s not much point to White Elephant vs most things these days. We have enough damage that Static Charge will kill more than fast enough in single target while absolutely dominating in mobbing. (Not to mention we don’t have to wait for damage or have good RNG, both problems presented by White Elephant).

As mentioned above, Unleash the Dragon is the go to single target artifact if you find Static Charge unsatisfactory for bossing.

What is this Rakkstab anyway? Are you actually stabbing things or is this just another pseudo melee items spam (facepuncher or fishslap/stinger shenanigans)?

Stinger, Psychostabber, and Rakks. Only dweebs use real melee in BL3 :smirk::smirk:

Why go out of your way to actually punch something? Brick isn’t a supporter of BL3’s pseudo-melee BS.

I hate how they handled melee in BL3, I hope they’ll never do this again

I’m with Ezio. If I am gonna do melee damage, I wanna punch or stab things. Not a fan of “remote melee.”

Maybe if they made a melee weapon/tool in the next game that could be both held AND thrown, it would satisfy the whole crowd of us. Like a knife or sword that could be used to stab or cut and also thrown at enemies for either more or less damage?

Thanks for all the replies, I wasn’t happy with my DPS on bosses, so I will try the UTD and the white elephant :slight_smile:

Another problem was my sustain, I fixed that with a knife drain variant of the static charge, but with UTD I don’t have this option… any ideas for sustain?

It’s a build with the peregrine class mod, this class mod makes your rakks to throw grenades on hit with a short cooldown, the grenades thrown by them use your class mod, so the idea is to use a fish slap with this class mod and buff in all the ways possible your melee damage.

Skill points that I am running:

Consume terror health regen? (Shield anointment) Even without terror it’s 25% every time you send out rakk.

Also you could keep a Heartbreaker handy for if you need to shoot it a couple times to get your health back up?
