Some of Amara's skills are not working or a little bit strange

  1. “ANIMA” is not working if you convert Amara’s action skill to cryo damage.
  2. “EXPEDITE” is not working.
  3. Amara won’t gain increased Elemental Damage Resistance from “ONE WITH NATURE” if you convert Amara’s action skill to cryo damage.
  4. The portion of splash damage converted by “INFUSION” is unable to gain increased Splash Damage.
  5. The damage of “CONFLUX” is extremely weak. Is it a bug?
  6. While “HELPING HAND(S)” is active, “DO UNTO OTHERS” is not working.
  7. The damage of “DO UNTO OTHERS” is a little bit strange: if it deals damage directly, then it cannot gain increased Skill Damage. However, if it deals damage indirectly by splashing, it will gain increased Skill Damage.
  8. “FORCEFUL EXPRESSION” is able to make “DO UNTO OTHERS” deal Bonus Elemental Damage if it deals damage directly.
  9. The extra effect of “DELIVERANCE” has a short cooldown ( 1s? ) , actually.
  10. It seems that Amara will be “stuck” if she has just performed a Blitz Melee Strike.
    (And why is the damage of “CATHARSIS” soooo weak?)

Hello, I may be able to address some of these questions

1 - As cryo damage has no DoT (damage over time), Anima will not result in any extra damage. However, the status effect duration increase WILL count towards how long an enemy stays frozen, which can be useful in some builds

2 - This is true and is a tragedy. However, skills like Restless, Avatar, and Combo Breaker all work as intended, and along with passive stats on class mods/artifacts, the Topped Off gaurdian rank, and the 50% cooldown anointment on shields, these are all reliable ways to reduce Amara’s cooldown.

3 - No idea, don’t use this skill, sorry.

4 - No idea, although splash can be a little weird in this game.

5 - Status effects in general in this game don’t tend to deal a lot of damage. I believe that if people are going to spec into this skill it is mainly to take advantage of Harmageddon, a gaurdian rank that gives extra damage for each unique status effect affecting an enemy. Keep in mind this skill can also affect the player, which can be both good (using an elemental projector) and bad.

6 - Not sure about this one, haven’t gone that far into the green tree in a while. It does say it has an 8 second cooldown.

7 - Not sure what you mean by increased “Skill Damage”.

8 - Forceful expression adds bonus elemental damage to a lot of things, not sure exactly what they all are.

9 - Haven’t noticed this.

10 - Blitz is unfortunately kind of buggy in general, and moreso in multiplayer, one of the reasons I stopped using melee Amara personally. As far as catharsis, I believe it scales with mayhem level, and found it can be useful, but seems like it can also down the player.

1 - Actually, if you convert Amara’s action skill to cryo damage, all Amara’s Status Effects won’t deal increased damage over time or have any increased duration, which means “ANIMA” is not working at all. :slightly_frowning_face:
6 - Though “DO UNTO OTHERS” is activated by damage of an enemy, Amara won’t throw any orb but use her arms to protect herself if “HELPING HANDS” is activated. :frowning:
7 - If you purchase “ATMAN”, Amara will gain increased Skill Damage. But if “DO UNTO OTHERS” deals damage directly, it won’t gain any increased Skill Damage.

Phasegrasps are busted in that you can miss a grasp and it eats your action skill without counting it as start or end. You just loose it. On top of that, it seems like no cooldown effects work for your action skill when this happens.

Also as someone that uses Blitz, it sure does seem to miss a lot at point blank range. Definitely hitting them just 0 damage.

Yeah, I’ve noticed the “using your action skill actually does nothing at all” thing quite often. In a half hour play session of TGTD, it happened 3 times to me, and it went on cooldown without actually doing anything.

It happens sometimes with Moze and Iron Cub too, oddly enough.
