I know bl3 probably wont get another major DLC but I still thought my idea was cool so I wanted to share it.
With the want for more raid bosses and more enemies to fight I thought of an idea that could be ‘relatively simple’ to do, and I’m calling it the Digideck Colosseum (Like holodeck but with digistruct technology). This would be an arena run by Janey and Athena together when you can go and fight raid bosses and other major bosses from past games in a digistructed arena. Athena would be the Colosseum Master and organise the fights where Janey is the one running the tech, but they’ll both be front and centre in the DLC making an actual physical appearance.
You would pick what fight you want to do by entering the room for the specific boss or fight, where it’s a map transition to load in the area for it as with it being a digideck you can fight the boss in a simulated version of its original arena so it’d probably be best to have them separated into their own maps, but to rematch there should be a way to reload the room without having to exit the map like you could for bl2 raid bosses. There could also be ‘Classic Slaughters’ and boss rushes as another thing to do in it as well.
Enemies will have their normal damage resistances not like digipeak enemies where digistructed flesh enemies didn’t resist corrosive damage, so they’ll just be digistructed visually but still mechanically function the same as they originally did, maybe with some tweaks for bl2 raid boss mechanics.
I think this fits in well with Athena and Janey’s story line as Athena is basically a gladiator herself and now is an ex vaulthunter and she’s given up the fighting so it works to have her just organising the fights and Janey is just being Janey using her tech savvy skills. I also thought that the whole thing could be set up on an asteroid to give it a bit of an elpis vibe since that’s where they met.
So despite the fact that this won’t ever really be a thing I just wanted to talk about it anyway as I thought it would be so cool, and hey maybe it could be a thing GBX feel free to do it I’d love to see it. Let me know what ya’ll think
