Just a quick question. How rare are the Diamond keys? I am vault card level 65 and I haven’t received one. My roommate, who is vault card level 51 has gotten 3. Anyone else having this issue?
I guess it’s bad RNG. I’m at level 37 and got two Diamond Keys already. Saw other topics where people said at level 40 they receive only Eridium rewards chest after chest but not a single Diamond Key or not even Vault Card keys. I only encountered Eridium rewards about 4-5 times, so yeah, RNG. Unfortunately sometimes it’s more like RNB*tch.

I received one at lv 12, I am around 16 now…
I got my first Diamond Key at level 89. Now I’m not opening more chests and waiting for some changes to eridium reward being more profitable or something.

I’m vault card level 69 (dude), and I’ve had so far I’ve had 4 diamond keys, I was honestly thinking they were mixed in for every 15 to 20 levels but had no idea the RNG was being so brutal with other players. I think with another 12 keys I’ll have finished the card including getting anoints for the 4 weapons, got the ASS anointment for the Super Soldier first roll, so I think at this point I’ve had more than fair share of good RNG, hopefully it starts swinging better for other players.

I’m only level 5 on vault card and already had 1 diamond key. My god it is so much fun looting through the armoury. I picked my last piece of equipment with 0 seconds left, it was so tense.

I was wondering how someone got to 89 too. I mean, I’ve been playing a lot to get to 65 but also life kind of gets in the way. And I’ve been running every booster imaginable just to get to this point.

no kidding. what are people doing to generate all that xp? I’m at 45 and bored as hell. I assume MH 10 is better than 11 but I really hate the modifiers. Even on MH 10, the 25% bonus from the science machine and an artifact with 10% XP from combat, the cistern of slaughter only filled up 1/2 of 1 level (not convinced artifacts with XP bonuses actually work).
they really need to boost the xp for challenges–just farming for XP is really tiresome b/c that’s all I’m doing (today’s daily challenges were dumb–kill 10 spiderants and kill 15 spiderants).
I think diamond keys are supposed to be very rare. I got 4 in my first 20 levels but none in my next 25.

I’m now level 16 on the vault card and already had 3 diamond keys. Been very lucky.

I just wanted to revive this thread to say - damn, diamond keys are really, really effing rare. I thought it was crappy that I got all the way to Vault Card Level 57 before I got my first diamond key. I felt bad for myself, at least until I saw @GrzesPL post above that said their first was at level 89. Holy crap that’s a lot of chests to roll.
I am not surprised diamond keys are rare, but I am a little bit surprised that they seem to be THIS rare - according to what I read above, less than 5% chance. But it sure feels like less of a drop chance than that.
P.S. - The diamond loot room could be way better - I literally only took one item (a Urad Reflux) and didn’t even take a shield OR grenade. Could be just bad RNG, but damn that’s hot dogshit RNG.

They seriously need to look at this, there are people that have found 4 by level 20
Really not good if they think they will be reeling in new players and selling the season passes on this kind of payout
Agree on poor quality of offerings but it’s more RNG fun!
First key was solid choices of decent to good items. Next two keys looked like pre WD nerf Graveward drops. I took a single item to try and the 2 of the highest value items just to sell… getting my 3 items no matter how junkie!

@Mugsy1103 I just got my second key today at Vault Card Level 60 or so, have not used it yet. I am hoping for better results this time.
I have been given the impression by a couple different people (one source that I trust and think has at least a reasonable chance of actually knowing) that Diamond Keys are more likely to be received as rewards if all of the rewards on the Vault Card are unlocked. Don’t know for certain myself if that’s true though.

I wonder if this is the case where ‘true RNG’ approach is probably not the best - we don’t see people happily posting “I got 2 keys in 5 levels” (happened to me, by the way), instead it’s unhappy posts from unlucky players.
Something along the lines of “you get one per 20 levels, guaranteed” might be better, perhaps? Same net amount of keys anyway, but fewer unhappy folks. Might even work better at giving folks incentive to play more - there is this juicy carrot just few levels away.
