I was trying to test how Skag Den interacts with the double dipping multipliers and mayhem scaling and noticed something off with the skill whenever I was trying to get a baseline on the damage numbers. After running additional tests I found that Fire in the Skag Den has been given an interaction with the Stainless Steel Bear and Scorching RPM skills and is being multiplied by the Iron Bear Damage bonuses.
I don’t know why this is the case or for how long. And I don’t know if anyone else has found this and posted it. I just wanted to make sure that this was known for anyone interested.
Its been a thing since launch. I’ve mentioned recently in fact that I believe this was a clumsy solution so when Iron Bear applied Skag Den it would scale properly.
Edit: My memory is failing me, this is since the patch that added IB damage to the skills not launch.
Oh dang. My bad on missing your post then. Was this part of a larger thread like the Short Fuse Analysis? I was having issues finding any mention of this particular interaction anywhere on the forums.
Its just been offhanded mentions now and then. I believe its listed in the damage equations though I can’t be certain as I haven’t actually looked back on that post in awhile. I’ll do go check after this. Initially skag den was so insubstantial it never warranted mention and more recently Skag Den is strong enough it doesn’t matter.
The 2 most recent places I’ve noted it are the Bonus Elements Breakdown and the Moze skill analysis.
