Tested the waters at M5, then M6 to start. After and hour I jumped straight to M10 and haven’t looked back.

Went straight to M7. Tried M8 but decided to jump back down to M7 to farm a bit. Got Yellowcake and went straight to M10. Never went back from there.

Started of at Mayhem 7. Got a fishslap with 150% grenade damage Anointment. Immediately switched to a Tediore Build and went to Mayhem 10

M8 is my sweet spot. Only 2 mods. Not too spongy

Started at M7 with my Crit FL4K. Bumped up to 8, then moved on to 10 after getting some key weapons.
My GB FL4K will most likely stay in M8.
Haven’t played my Zane or Amara yet.
Want to finish enough challenges in the event to unlock the heads first. Almost there.

I do have a Drone and Clone Zane just getting to Eden 6 in the story. I might keep him a low level just to have fun with weapons that are not working at the higher Mayhem levels.

My girlfriend and I started on Mayhem 8. We hoped that as soon as we get our first mayhem 8 gear it wouldn’t be to bullet spongie anymore. After two ours we decided its not fun to shoot at the same enemy for 2 minutes and 20 seconds (talking about you Empowered Ascendant Khellga Vok…).
Went down to Mayhem 6. Then realized we can’t have rogue light anymore on that difficulty and instead have to play with four modifier. We are now taking a break and wait for the next patch.
Hopefully you can then just select the modifier you want.

Went to M7-8-10 within 20 minutes the first day and never went back. Still trying to mega grind for everything with my Amara so I can pass the stuff to my other characters and go straight to M10 with them

Literally went straight to m10 and haven’t change it since. I’ve had the same modifiers (Slayer, Healy Avenger, Pool Party, Daze and Infused) since like day 2 after I found out about the Slayer/TTB combo.

Just did true takedown solo for the first time since the update. It’s definitely harder, but now that I have scaled m10 gear and stuff like OPQ and Yellowcake it’s still pretty easy. Actually what made it even somewhat challenging was the Cartel event enemies spawning in constantly and almost doubling the already insane amount of enemies MTTD already had.

The only enemies that are a challenge for me right now are Graveward (ironically) and Wendigo (who was already hard as balls before because he is immune to fire). Graveward is only a challenge because I don’t have a good hitscan weapon yet, but I’m working on getting a Sandhawk and once I do with a good anoint he will be a cakewalk again.

Got a yellowcake on M6 and found Katagawa Jr more of a tactical fight than a bullet sponge, so I could beat him on M10 straight away. Then I slowly got M10 weapons, most with the desired anoints.

I play this game for loot and since M10 is the place to get the best loot, playing at a lower difficulty would mean I would ignore loot, since it is impossible it is an upgrade. Not a lot of fun, so I am putting the game down for now (I will definitely be back when m2.0 gets more balanced).

I would like to see a chance for M10 stuff to drop on whatever mayhem level, albeit small. So a number between 0 and 100 determines the level. The first 70 (let’s say M5) means it’s a M5 gun. Then for the remainder of that 30, the first 70% determines it’s a M6 gun, the remainder of that 30% (9% of the original 100) makes it a higher level, etc. On M8, there would be a 9% chance it is an M10 weapon. That would be an acceptable balance to me. I would farm bosses on M10 for the guaranteed M10 weapons and Wotan on M7 for the fun and a chance at a M10 version of the gun

I started t m10 straight away with moze using immortal build, it is brutal at the start. I went to athenas to collect coordinates. Luckily on my first run i got a kaosan that ease the burden. Then joey or one of the bosses drop an opq.

I quite enjoy m10 (to my surprise since i didn’t like the idea of modifiers at first) and cartel and finished all the challenges with 4 vault hunters at m10.

My go to modifiers are lootsplosion or galaxy brain, healy avenger, chain gang and holy crit.

My group took a look at the new Mayhem modifiers and we realized that most of them weren’t fun for us. We used to run Mayhems 3 and 4 (depending on day and what we were doing) in the old version, but nothing about 2.0 appealed to us. We particularly disliked that each Mayhem level has progressively better gear, meaning that not only would have to repeatedly farm the same gear over and over, but it meant that any Mayhem lower than whatever our current gear was would be a breeze, so they’d never be a point in running Mayhem 5 if we already had 8 gear. Eventually we decided on 4 as the sweet spot: only two modifiers, the skill- and weapon-scaling issues aren’t too bad there, enemies don’t die in a couple shots from a pistol but also don’t take forever to kill, and we’d have access to all the weapons we had in the old Mayhem 4. We’re considering getting Mayhem 6 snipers, though, just so that the snipers will finally do the sort of damage they ought to.

I’ve been playing Mayhem 6 exclusively. I would’ve given M10 a try if the drop rates weren’t apparently broken. I also hate the idea of action skills and grenades not doing any appreciable damage at M10 (which is also a smaller problem at M6).

I’ve been playing M6 but only because I’m forced to in order to get the new weapons. It’s fun enough with these weapons, but I find the enemies too spongy for “normal” guns which makes variety a little limited. It puts Moze at a disadvantage, too, as IB just tickles enemies. Zane and Amara are fine, though. Haven’t tried FL4K yet but have to admit I’m a little apprehensive about how their pets will do.

I was quite happy enough at M2 previously and would likely have remained there if I’d been able to get the new guns there.

Still gearing up a little in M8 (trying to get my hands on an OPQ), probably gonna jump into M10 later down the line, provided my PC can handle the modifiers.

After farming decent weapons in M10 there really doesn’t seem to be any point in going back to a lower M level as the rewards are going to be worse than what I already have. That’s one of the problems with having weapons that scale with mayhem level, another reason that Mayhem 1.0 was a better system than the shitshow that is Mayhem 2.0

yep, if you start experimenting at higher levels after a relatively short time you end up getting locked in by your gear

What’s this??

I tried M10, but M6 is the most fun fir me right now. I’m sure they’ll have M10 worked out and the weapon scaling for all Mayhem levels fixed soon.

I jumped from the old Mayhem 4 straight into Mayhem 10, started with farming a Nothingness and after suffering a bit I got my feet in the door with a M10 Nothingness on my Amara, which made me basically unkillable (although I screwed myself over by not checking the M10 modifiers and got basically all kinds of visual cluttering and extra damage at once xD). So after running with Freeze Orbs, elemental Tethers and random elemental immunity as a start, I guess I pushed through. Also, I tested the waters with my M4 infinite ammo Moze build by killing M10 Jackbot with an M4 Soulrender. It took ages to kill him! Since then I’m on M10 and have found good modifiers for all my characters. So I’m quite comfortable with M10 by now.
