So I have found many artic ones with a fixed cryo element stat and I’m looking for one without a fixed element stat (if it has a fixed element stat it won’t change elements based on time of day) has anyone seen a level 57 hawkin without an element stat? Or should I just give up farming for it?
Err, no, the Night Hawkin is technically fixed as cryo. The thing is, cryo weapons cannot spawn below level 18, so if you have a low level one it’s not gonna display the cryo (still is gonna be it, tho)
However, in spite of the fixed stat it still does change element based on the time of day, it just doesn’t show it on the item card.
Only comes in elemental form, unless it’s a modded item.
All the artic ones I have gotten have not switched though, they stay cryo. I just found this so this explains it.
Wow been using an m10 Hawkin x3 for a bit now… Never noticed it change element.

Well it might not be changing elements. One article says that if it had a fixed element that it doesn’t change and only changed between 1-3 bullets shot. This article says that there is a bug.

Ive had the multiplier disappear but it came back and I assumed it a visual bug rather than it actually losing the extra projectiles… Its a good weapon, accurate, not the biggest punch but it seems to give em hell. Chink chink chink chink, feels good too
@VaultHunter101 that write up is extensive and its almost like the testing of this SMG is more complicated than the code that makes up this gun… I mean how many parts (of code) exist inside the Hawkin… Borderlands 3 is high tech. Its a single SMG, not just a barrel and a clip but a whole load of parameters.
I’ll never sell a Hawkins again. Stranger than things? Its a sub machine gun infused with coders magic. Abracadabra!
