Sup everyone, sharing a Radiation Nuke build for Moze on Mayhem 2.0, that of course today takes the Yellowcake straight OP hype train until the nerf comes for it, but that should perform well with other launchers, including the new Backburner, that is yet to be fixed for a proper M10 loot!
Notes on general Gameplay and Survivability
Main tip on this topic is stop jump spamming while playing this build. It ocasionally interrupts your “running condition”. Staying alive is closely related to keep yourself moving and you should get used to it fairly quick.
Not being affected by self blast damage doesn’t mean you have to shoot and run careless around the map. Well placed shots with the Yellowcake is synonym of even faster runs and clearing speeds. Mind your positioning to avoid getting stuck and you should run over every M10 content in the game.
Some further notes on the Skill Tree:
As the build card emphasizes, our main survivability skill is Rushin’ Offensive, and the aim is to get to it on the green tree. Scorching RPM’s is a side pick up mainly for alternative weapons, such as the Kaosons.
By the Blue Tree our interest goes into Torgue Cross Promotion, also recently buffed, it directly increases Yellowcake damage and provides a 15% chance of getting double the area of explosions. A side note on that is on its interaction with Irradiated Enemies also having a chance to explode into twice as big Radiation Blasts, which also contributes with Elemental Projector up-time. Credits to @RaisinSucks on Moxsy’s Discord for pointing that out. Be aware on barrels, as they are also affected by your increased radius passives.
Means of destruction is already very effective with Yellowcake by itself, but you can pair it with a Cloning Maddening Tracker ATLAS grenade for improved ammo regeneration.
Notes on Gear and alternative anointments
On the offensive side, the 300% increased weapon damage on enemies above 90% health is a solid alternative (sometimes even better) for nuking and one shotting regular mobs or some bosses. Because of Yellowcake’s multiple projectiles mechanics, it’s not as consistent compared to the 150% radiation anointment, but it can indeed produce higher damage numbers.
I’d recomend you running with a x1 300%/90% Yellowcake for mobing and trying that out for yourself.
For a more defensive alternative, go for +75% shield on Iron Bear exit on your Red Suit. You can manage 100% uptime by hoping on IB every 25 seconds, although not exactly needed at all for staying alive.
In the M10 True Takedown video above, almost the entirety of the run was done on that x1 Yellowcake 150/50, besides only at Wotan, when I switch for a x2 150/50 one. I can’t emphasize enough how strong the x1 still is, at least until GB decided to nerf the weapon. Just check for yourself the damage it was putting out with the right set-up, one shotting Valkyries Phases, Kraken and other stuff. The lower heat build-up really makes it a go for weapon for general stuff.
Also, you generally wanna use a Cloning Maddening Tracker when ammo is getting low.
Mayhem Modifiers
Main modifiers you should avoid are radiation imune enemies and any related to cryo novas, as it blocks you from running while frozen.
Speed Demon is definetely recomended, due to the lack of movement speed bonuses.
