Boom Bot - Mayhem 10 True Takedown Rakk Attack or Fade Build

Wanted to put together a quick build that involved some gear most of us already have. New guns are a bit strong so just having the base form is going to do a lot of work inside of the builds. Personally like Rakk version better

So now that Rakk builds can use this shield and anoint combo, none of FL4K’s builds should have survival issues anymore. Now the question becomes what GB will do to fix up FL4K from this point on…

Head Count has left the chat

Hopefully we get a lot of stuff fixed and the pet build buffed up. Want a True Takedown Pet run. I can’t see them not scaling up grenades so we can have Hawk Pack back. Slam idk if they are going to touch

I had some scaled TD attempts with pets but ran out of disk space so deleted all but one. They were quite messy…

yea there’s definitely some micromanagement involved to get it to flow lol. Maybe we’ll get a super buff one day

@nodreamsonlygoals I am not such a huge fan of heavy weapons in BL3, but I am glad to see you did the testing on the Stop Gap with the “shield break/fill.” I think this will be THE go to shield for Rakk builds going forward. Not a lot of reasons the use the Transformer or Re-Charger anymore when you basically can just be constantly invulnerable.

I didn’t watch the whole video (I watched like 6-7 minutes in) but did you find the same thing I did, which is that if your shield is depleted at the time you case Rakks, you do not receive the shield’s special effect of invulnerability on ASE?

I honestly have no idea wtf is going to happen to tr4iner. At this point in game im happy for it to just be deleted so it wont clutter the already trash filled m10 loot pool.

I felt like that was the case at some point in time when I was testing it out but I’ve also had it work out just fine. There’s definitely some inconsistency

After more testing I kind of . . . concur? So I got a Stop Gap with “ASS” shield effect and - sometimes it seems to proc the shield’s special effect when my shield is depleted, and sometimes it does not. So I guess at this point it either is working entirely as intended or not working at all? I am not quite certain how the devs intended it to work, but regardless of what they intended, it does not seem to work exactly as described on the card, so I guess it would be consistent with the BL franchise in that regard.

The consistency being the inconsistency is wild lol

 Cracking up at that but yes, the BL franchise is famous at this point for “the card description on the _____ is deceptive.”

My only beef with heavily relying on that shield annoint is broken a** Head Count. Eager to Impress helps, but it doesn’t have the potential of Head Count.

My standard spec for my Rakk builds has always been to go all 5 into Self Repairing System. Now that I know HC is not working at all with Rakks, I am pretty sure I am going to change that and go full in into Eager to Impress to try to get a little more cooldown. I like the undercurrent of health regen that SRS provides to keep Fl4k topped off between combat situations, but as the game’s difficulty goes up, I am feeling that need for cooldown more and more.
