Cutpurse White Elephant + Fish Slap is a pretty good combo and you don’t have to worry about the scaling issue

Far as I can tell, the grenade’s damage range is significantly high enough to make the life-steal viable, though for damage-dealing it’s not that great.
Also a bit hit or miss with the Cutpurse, unless you’re running Clone Zane with Fractal Frags to toss out tons of them to regen your ammo.
