Just for reference, the weapons, aka the only items that scale with the mayhem levels, will double in damage stats from non mayhem to mayhem 10. That’s the conclusion I’ve come to, so correct me if I’m wrong

But are pre-mayhem 2.0 weapons actually scaled to m4? I would assume that they would default to m0 scaling and that getting the same weapon on new m4 would have higher damage. Unless the game was somehow tracking mayhem prior to this update.

@deleona144 It’s more than x2. Look at Krakatoa it was 13809 now it is 32690. That’s x2.367. That’s the only weapon on his list that is 100% the same as before just higher damage, and that’s because Krakatoa only comes in 4 flavors. Stark, Abundant Stark (+3 mag size, lowered damage), and then with or without a front pistol grip (“with grip” reduces handling to 56%).

Interesting point, I don’t know if these pre patch weapons are now in line with new m4 or no mayhem.

The old gear should be default/no mayhem bonus to stats. Just baseline 57 gear.

And new theory: the mayhem damage bonus follows the general level increase formula, so whoever knows how things scale, just calculate the stats as they would be for a 67 item.

Only way to find out is to play new mayhem 4 until you find a Stark Krakatoa. It looks like the one you have is the one with a front pistol grip (because handling is 56%, no grip is 76%). Find that exact one and then compare. Report back when you are done.

You are doing God’s work son.

I been farming mayhem 10 with my wife. That twin boss tam and bis brother. We noticed no shields have increased stats :frowning:
Is artifact farming useless? Whats everyone getting artifacts wise and classmods wise? So far ive gotten none.

Damage increase from a regular lob to an m10 lob was 161% so seems like depending on the weapons it’s a 2.3x-2.6x damage increase from m0-m10

I haven’t seen any changes to artifacts/mods/shields/grenades but I could be wrong

Yeah it’s only weapons and grenades that get stronger.

Enemies hit for the same damage in mayhem as non-mayhem (just tested with a lil’ skag in the Droughts, did same damage in M10 as non-mayhem), so I can see why shields don’t get buffed.

I guess it makes sense since these enemies aren’t “overpowered” enemies like in BL2 where OP-level enemies were actually X number of levels above you and thus their damage output would scale. Technically they’re still level 57ish enemies, but just “fattened up” by the mayhem mode as far as health/shields/armor goes.

You sure grenades get stronger?

Well, kinda 80% sure on grendes heh. The ones I’ve seen drop seemed to be stronger, though I haven’t had any exact matches to the ones I use yet to make a direct comparison. Vending machine stuff, weapons and grenades alike, are all baseline 57 no matter what, it seems. Dunno if that’s intentional or a bug.

Edit: hmmm yeah finally got some Quasars and Hexes to drop which are easy to compare… they didn’t scale to the mayhem level.

Ive found a few of them are stronger; some artillery last week where “fires bullets” dealt near 1400; ones today were near 2300; although that 150% grenade annointment may be to make up for it

So I confirm the new m4 weapon is superior to pre patch weapon . This means that even if you continue to play at approximately same difficulty as pre patch (assuming you played mayhem) you are still rewarded with better weapons

Also verified:grenades don t scale

new M4 krakatoa

Grenades do not get stronger. The MH damage bonus is like a hidden anointment on gear and can only spawn on weapons.

That is correct. Gun damage increase is ×1.09 per level, so 10 levels up is ×1.0910 = ×2.367. That’s exactly what you get on M10 weapons.

You can find out with any weapon if you look at the parts list and divide out all the gun damage parts.
