I always use clone swap 130% if I’m going fully down the red tree.
I find that I have to swap every few seconds just to keep my clone alive with quick breather anyway, so it’s like a constant 130% extra damage. Takes some getting used to but I find the damage boost more consistent than ASE
The barrier one is nice because is always on. But you need to hit crits.
The clone swap is nice, a good combo with double barrel, IIRC it gives you damage on swap.
But I think the winner is consecutive hits, the damage cap is 200%, and any source of damage can keep up the stacks (yup, your clone) so I think it’s the best choice.
All great points. I’m wondering if I might need both depending on content. Such as beasts vs cov/maliwan. Beasts always have pain in the ads Crit spots and if I can’t Crit then the clone swap is absolutely better. I’ll have to do some more testing. I wish clone didn’t have two annointed based on ammo (Regen or reload) and I wish barrier had a better one than shield starts recharging…like Zane has an issue with shields being up/recharging lol.
I always run Barrier and Clone. Clone swap is the best IMHO.
However, I have started experimenting an anoint that is pretty darn good as well - your mag refills 12% while clone is active.
I got this on a super shreddifier so had to check it out. It works as advertised. Just spraying, constant fire, and the mag stayed full the entire duration the clone was active. Great anoint for ammo hungry weapons. I am now looking for this on other guns. Zane becomes a bottomless mags Moze as long as the Clone is active.
