I went with Target Softeners and a Hammer Down nuke. Target Softeners because Moze can double dip on the multiplier with Short Fuse and Mindsweeper, and Hammer Down because it puts a radiation DOT on everything in the room for Harmagedon and additional explosions as my Mindsweeper does its thing.
Dual shock railgun. Seems to melt just about anything
Yeah, holy crap, I can use CA in scales takedown and clear everything but wotan and almost never leave the driver seat
Depends on the area. I switch alot between dual hammerdown, one arm shock chain and one arm sabot rail guns, dual vanquisher here and one arm cryo and one explosive minigun there. It´s nice to have so much viable options now. AB is pretty efficent with railguns too.
In TD/TTD i’m running Rocket Pods to burst down Wotans double shield phase.
Outisde of that I’m doing dual exploding bullets / dual nukes / one rocket pod + one nuke depending on how I feel like playing
How do you survive though with no way to heal IB ?
Yeah I still like the explosive/ cryo mini gun combo
I cant play with anything that isnt splash though because IB dies way too quickly
I have the anointed that gives moze and IB 75% health and shield. And I don’t pilot him, just auto bear. He survives the full 15sec except for slaughter shaft sometimes
If you can buff him with 75% health and shield (anointment), and you’re using a few items that add +health, we can end up with more than 400,000 armor.
With this setup, you don’t necessarily need healing, as much as you need situational awareness on when and who to shoot, and when and why to bail. I would usually bail when I have 60,000 armor left, and let Auto Bear cover me while the timer comes back.
It is a paramount choice to get security bear with this type of setup though. That’s essentially healing half your health every little bit. It may be inconsistent, but it is incredibly important.
I have this on a big boom blaster and it’s all I need for survival when I’m not in IB.
As a matter of fact, if you play it right, you can clear entire areas before his health gets low enough to bail. Depending on your place style, you can spend 60 to 80% of your time and IB without ever meeting to heal him.
these recent bus has made our bear friend much more exciting.
My only concern is that if they don’t tie gear to his damage, when the next mayhem levels come out, he just won’t perform again.
I’m curious what other pilots in our community think about that
I think they should just add a simple damage multiplier to his base damage with each increase in mayhem level. Simple.
I just posted separately about this because of this conversation. Actually I don’t know if it’d be a simple as that. Think about it: if you knew iron bear was just perfectly scaled for mayhem 10, why would you mess with any other mayhem level instead of just jumping straight to Max level in farming bosses until you have what you need using iron bear’s scaled weapons? If they don’t address it differently than simple scaling by level, the Moze gang could just get all the good m10 gear and distribute it within the community with a super high effectiveness
Gonna be honest. I’m absolutely annoyed with the concept of Mayhem leveled weapons. Lol. I’m just staying quiet until I see what they’re actually gonna do. Because there’s a lot of weird stuff at play in the conversation
Yeah, it wasn’t really something I enjoyed about borderlands 2 either. I always felt like I was wasting my time until I got to the max level. I ended up having to farm the same items 3 to 4 times just to jump through to four mayhem levels at once. I really hope that that’s not how this ends up. This game has a crap ton of more moving parts than borderlands 2 for what it’s worth, so maybe they have some good ideas. So, you’re right I will also be holding judgment for now
nuke on one arm, vanilla vanquisher on the other. Rad DOT and knockback for one, mid-air sniping and general mobbing with the other. Lots of fun, really.
I hate it too. I was hoping for a simple UVHM without any of the b.s modifiers and enemy health/armor/shield scaled to builds at whatever the final number of skill points we will receive.
I’m probably going to bow out at Mayhem 4 and just enjoy it while it lasts . I dont think that will be very long though as we keep getting level cap increases and enemies because trivial
Crap. I never thought about that … well what if you had to “beat” the prior mayhem level to advance to the next one ? Why are we assuming we can just select m10 from the start?
I mean coming you’re right they may have some kind of take down style event you have to complete using items from that mayhem level, but from what I can tell they plan to simply allow you to toggle it pretty high pretty quickly, the way it already is. Crossing fingers
A man of good taste…
I’m still sticking with Exploding Bullets. It works for me every time in solo TTD. HP is too slow and too noisy for me in TTD. Vanquisher doesn’t feel right either. So I’m sticking with EB.
If I’m playing Proving Grounds, I go with HP and Target Softening.
There is zero chance for me to even try any of the red tree augments because I only spec on blue and green tree on my main Moze. I run with Blast Master com by the way in solo TTD.
