What is the highest possible damage on IRON BEAR?

Just that. What is the highest possible damage on iron bear. I have seen lots of threads and calculations. Does anyone have a definitive answer on what the highest damage iron bear can put out is? In between the different weapons, anointments, debuffs and buffs, skill points and crits, what is the A, numero UNO damage it can dish out in a single hit?

Asking for a friend XD

The ignorant answer is a micronade chain from Mind Sweeper.

The realistic answer I don’t know, @sammantixbb might have a better idea.

Things to consider: Splash boost, element matching, specialist bear, crits with EM, likely GM mod with +5 SRPM…

Graveward has a really sensitive crit spot on his hand ball. I can hit that with Hell on Rails for 2M

A standard hell on rails crit on a flesh enemy runs 800k, or col can make it…863k

The nuke does, for me, 365k to a large area. (Going by memory. These numbers are maybe a tad off).

Corrosive Sabot rounds have a large radius, and a two part damage situation. I think my crits are in the 352k range of Corrosive on flesh, before skag den and em are counted.

Looks like the Corrosive stickie hits at 52k right now before the explosion

Another thing to add is that although relics typically don’t do anything for Iron Bear besides passive bonuses for splash damage, grenade damage and max health, the Deathless relic reserves all but 1 hp for Moze which in turn, gets both her and Bear the full bonus from Desperate Measures.

With the amount of power it can dish out in a single blast, I think your best bet for absolute highest damage (besides a huge spike in a Mind Sweeper chain) is most likely a standard shock Railgun critical shot on a shielded enemy due to the x2.5 multiplier in TVHM.

XD I just realised I should have specified an enemy. lol. But graveward will work.

  • Perhaps Normalising the numbers to account for flesh weakness?

The reason I ask is because each of Moze’s top three DPS COMs ask for different things.

One asks for crits(not too bad), another for you to not reload(I think this is a bit ■■■■) and another to hold down the fire button for as long as possible.

That combined with the wonky interactions between her different DPS skills is making deciding on a proper DPS build a total Nightmare. XD

Currently I have slapped on Raging Bear and called it a day XD At least it works well enough with her buffs.

Oh. You need to come visit the Bust A Bear workshop. GM is the best Bear Com in the game unless you really really like Railguns.

IB reloads don’t affect Blast Master.

GM doesn’t require holding the trigger down if you’re trying to only spec for IB damage. You get the Blast Master boost built on it (for whatever reason) if you fire once and never shoot again.

GM is the best if you want only IB. Blast Master is better if you want to play as moze on-foot as well.

Just finished watching. Damn. XD that is crazy crazy damage over time. Let me go farm some shields.

Ember’s Blaze is a Quest reward from DLC 1’s main story. It’s not necessary for the Green Monster shenanigans, but it does make you a death field and helps me conserve fuel by not wasting a 362k shot on an enemy with 16000 hp left.

oh. ok. I hadn’t finsihed DLC 1 yet. Started with 2 first. Now I see the shield name from Ember.

After all my testing, I found that a Bloodletter, 3 (+ Com points) DM + Deathless, 5 SRPM, SB, 5 SSB, 3 Deadlines and 5 Vampyre build gives me the best bang for my buck. I have access to all hard point elements and my damage is outstanding. With a CMT and Boom Sickle I get IB back quickly as well.

If you don’t mind me asking, could you give me numbers for both a Hell on Rails Railgun crit on dummy and…let’s see, you likely don’t have Sabot… A nuke. On the dummy? Just because I have no Bloodletters to test :joy:

Sure. I do have Sabot in my build too. I have all the elements. These are all crit values on the Jack dummy. I do have a +2 DM Bloodletter on as well.

Hell on Rails: 921K
Sabot: 30K intial hit, 149K explosion
Base Rail Gun: 229K
Nuke: 158K no crit,I don’t think these can crit.

Okay. Hell on Rails trashes my numbers, but Sabot and Nukes are half mine. This is what I like. I love that both of our setups have different strong points! Thank you!

I’m guessing you’re running a BM for splash?

Hell on Rails with +2SSB and +3StE or some combination of those on a RB mod will likely out perform a bloodletter with +3DM?

GM for Splash and 5 RPMs

I’m about to test, I have all the stuff for RB. Do I take EM?

I’ve been doing my tests with EM, because if you’re going rail guns, em is life

Yep, EM. I’m testing a +2 SSB right now
