All new characters have to start from LV1?

i want to try other characters, but when i select it, (enable THV/TVH mode), the new character menu, just only have normal mode, and the game show LV1 in sub menu.

so i wonder that people can’t start the game from the old or first character LV, like 57, on new character? if not, how to do so?

GB should make such arrangement, as some players , like me, didn’t want to start a character from LV1, esp, already a end game players( as a causal player)

Has always been the case mate. If you finish the game as Zane… you have ONLY finished the game as Zane. No character swaps. If you want to start a new character you will be starting from level 1 BUT you can use the safe to transfer items into your new characters game to make your experience a lot easier :innocent:

LV57 is a long days to reach this LV from LV1, although i like BL3 story and the game… that is basic, u have to play it again in TVH mode too( even i play this mode as fast as possible).

I have successfully reached level 57 without even starting TVHM. Just made sure I did literally EVERYTHING in the game and yeh the only fast(ER) way to level a character is to join someone’s game who is way higher than you and complete missions!

I thought that currently we can start the new dlc with a boosted character (13 I think), so maybe try that?

i just want to try others character, have no interest to the contexts much, so start from LV1 is really bad things to me.

Borderlands 2, many years after it was “done” eventually had the Lillith and the Fight For Sanctuary free DLC that allowed you to start a character at lvl 30.

Maybe they’ll do something like that for this game as well. Maybe not.

But I’d be surprised if they did it before releasing all the DLC.

Only thing I can say is, maybe level up a different character via DLC? Then it’d be at least a different play experience.

if we need not to fetch all record tap again would be good.

If you have the DLC, you have an option of starting a character in Sanctuary at level 15 13. Not quite as good as starting at say level 30, but better than level 1. You’ll see it as in option in the new game menu. There’s a thread giving more details in the Spoilers section.

I doubt we’ll get a bigger boost just yet, although it’s alwaysd possible that the third and fourth DLCs might add the option of starting a bit higher when they arrive.

I did this for a new Mose and Zane. They started at level 13. Mose i had going to Handsome Jackpot DLC. Zane I had start the Tenticals DLC. But, level 13. This is on Steam.

You’re right, level 13 not 15. A man can dream…

They should really give us an option to skip the campaign/story on new characters. Going through the story on each character TWICE just gets boring since i (and most people I’d assume) don’t really want to talk to Lilith for 12 hours.

Thankfully there are saves without gear or guardian ranks that has the story/leveling completed that can be downloaded.

AGREE! Heck, at this point I’d take a level 50 character that’s beaten NVHM. Would make running TVHM less tedious & what else are you going to use that level 50 gear for?

Technically, with the current Mayhem system you only need to run through the story once. (Unless you want a specific mission reward item at max level.)
