Question regarding crit damage anointments

Has anyone done any testing on how the critical hit damage increase anointments work? There are two available to Fl4k IIRC, one that works to increase crit damage on ASE (25% I believe) and one that increases crit damage after using Rakk Attack (50%).

Before I go and do testing on this, I thought I would ask: when it says that you “gain increased crit damage” does it mean that your crit damage is increased by 50% of the number your crit % damage already is, or is it a flat percentage increase?

In other words, let’s assume you have a weapon with 20% crit damage on the card and also is anointed to “gain” 50% crit damage after Rakks. When your anointment is active, do you get:

  1. 30% crit damage (20% crit damage plus 50% of that 20%); or

  2. 70% crit damage (20% crit damage plus a flat 50% crit damage on top); or

  3. something else?

I am genuinely interested if anyone has tested this. The crit damage anointments do not seem very good generally and I thought I would see if I could figure out why and how they are not great.

They’ve all been tested at this point, have a look at Doc’s Critical Hit Calculation for an explanation of where each one falls. And yeah you aren’t wrong, they are not worth it in comparison to many other anointments. The rakk crit one you mention is actually quite horrible because it ends up being worse than the generic 25% crit damage on ASE anoint sometimes.

Excellent, thanks guys. This is why you ask, I guess? I did a quick search and couldn’t come up with it myself. Will take a look.
