Ineff4ble Fl4k. A consecutive hit build

This build is based completely around the consecutive hit anointment and the new artifact Pearl of Ineffable Knowledge, the artifact that builds up damage per consecutive hit and grants a bonus of 20% when the cap of 15% is reached. This is a Fadeaway crit build so to get the most out of Fadeaway and the consecutive hit anointment magazine size and weapon reload speed are the best options for rolls on the Pearl of Ineffable Knowledge. A Mitotos Hunter Seeker, reacurring or MIRV tacular Hex with an element on ase are preferred to help build up the weapon’s anointment and because of Megavore will occasionally score critical hits to trigger Headcount, the Cryo element is the worse for this build because it does not inflict damage over time. Weapons that create links like the redistributor, weapons that have multiple pellets per shot, weapons that have high high status chance and weapons that create ricochet or create extra projectiles are the types of weapons you mostly want for this build. The anointment is triggered by consecutive hits within a one second window so as long as enemies are taking damage from you then it starts building up, I believe the artifact is triggered by the same mechanic but I may be wrong.

A Redistributor and the Brainstormer are both used in this build because of how quickly they build this anointment up with the links they create, the Redistributor really starts hitting hard once it creates a few links and enemies begin to suffer from status effect as these both work with the aniontment. When there are not enough enemies or they aren’t close enough to for these weapons to be effective the Carrier is an effective weapon against single targets or spread out crowds. Another perk to the carrier is how long it’s tracking capacity lasts for. The Lob is only a weapon I use in the takedown during the Valkeries and Wotan’s armor phases, though the video below only shows that once each it also shows all the weapons being used effectively in the boss fights. Other weapons that work great for Fl4k with consecutive hits are the Maggie, hellshock, Linoge, King’s/Queen’s Call, craps, Kyb’s Worth, cutsman, binary Devoted, Rowan’s/Lucian’s Call, Dictator, Star Helix, Conference Call, stagecoach, Torgue high pellet count shotguns, Lyuda, lump, Scourge and many that I failed to mention or haven’t ever had a chance to use or see.
Other gear isn’t really too strict for this build I use a Stopgap, Recharger or Ward shield for content that requires more survivability but amp shields are pretty fun to use outside the takedown. The rolls that suit Ineff4ble Fl4k best on a class mod would be manufacturer critical hit damage, if not any damage buffs work, fire rate helps the Carrier and if possible reload speed or magazine capacity. I used a Bounty Hunter mod for this build but a well rolled Cosmic Stalker works just as good, the reason I prefer a Bounty Hunter for this build is to get my kill skills as quickly as possible and sustain them since it is complemented by the same weapons as PoIK.

Fadeaway augments are Guerrillas in the Mist and Unblinking Eye.

For the Hunter Tree Second Intention is a great skill for this build since when you’re reloading you’re not dealing damage and that’s not good, which is why Leave No Trace is maxed out also. Because I’m using a Bounty Hunter mod I get Interplanetary Stalker, Most Dangerous game and Second Intention virtually all the time so it’s better to leave an enemy with very little health left alive if possible since they will most likely be inflicted with a status effect or potentially linked. Obviously I go all the way down the hunter tree for Megavore. For this build the Hunter tree is less about getting damage and more about sustaining it.

For the Stalker tree I need all three of the gun damage based skills. Self repairing system is nice to use if you run a lot of solo but if you’re usually playing with friends then those five points are more effective in Hidden Machine, Galactic Shadow makes this skill extremely useful when other players are around. Not many sources for healing to get from gear so four points in Rage and Recover will be a huge chunk of this builds healing, I use brimming on my stopgap but this is why a Ward shield is also recommended. Having The Power Inside is as much of a boost to GITM as the Pearl is, it doesn’t matter if you can keep the buff up with this build since the damage output is already so high by the time Fadeaway ends.

I placed three points in Persistence Hunter even though it means less time with Power Inside rolling it increases the amount of consecutive hits we have stacked up to get the most out of the extra projectiles we get from ase anointments on shields and grenades. Using GITM most of these weapons can build up pretty heavy damage while in Fadeaway with the consecutive hit anointment and being how quickly it can be built up switching weapons after Fadeaway ends won’t hurt your momentum too much. Overclocked is a great skill to consider when building around consecutive hits but firing too fast can cause you too get less bullets back from Leave No Trace. Eager to Impress is a nice bonus to complement Headcount and when the anointment is maxed out enemies will die quickly. If survivability is an issue Unblinking eye isn’t required so swap to Until I am dead to keep the healing and speed for ten more seconds.

TRUE TAKEDOWN
I chose to use this run for a demonstration because it shows a few good examples of low spots in addition to high points. Towards the end of the bridge before Wotan is a good example of jumping into a grinder and skipping out just fine, the new guardian rank works great with these weapons and I don’t ever have to worry about my damage output in FFYL. I think it does a pretty good job showing how all the weapons work during the boss battles as well. I did cut the video because I took time to look at my loot since there is so much dropping at the moment, this was actually from a farming session. I may make a better one after the event is over.

This was a pretty fun run in the Trial of Fervor while testing this build.

I’m currently working on a build variant that uses a Deadeye class mod with +5 in Twofang and that can make the weapons like the redistributor, the Carrier and call family really nasty.

Let me know what you think and thanks for reading and watching.

Funny I made almost the same build today. Also using Pearl and GITM. I used just consecutive Rad redistributor for the mobbing and a consecutive rad/corrosive hyperfocus for the bossing. Skills almost exactly the same.

That’s awesome, I’ve always loved how the anointment works with GITM and when I got the artifact I was stoked to put it to good use too.

Nice build. I know I have thrown alot of shade on GiTM, but I really think the Pearl could be the extra kick it needed to once more be an efficient playstyle at M4. If the Mayhem 2.0 introduces shield and grenade anointments that are competitive with the current elemental ones, GiTM could be genuinely competitive with Base Fade.

Thanks, the Pearl seems to be what we wanted from stackbot despite not being based around critical hits.

and this is exactly what I wanted to do with my Fl4k.Also as getting hands on a redistrib with consecutives hits is rather hard, thanks for confirming others candidates that I actually have:linoge and kyb. I have the pearl with mag size and fire rate, now I have to level up quick

Good build and good writeup. You talked about trying to take advantage of Two Fang to push the Redistributor up a notch. Two Fang is an SMG’s best friend.

I know you would get less FA duration with the build, but why not pull two of those points from Eager to Impress and the three from Persistence Hunter to go +5 (or +10 with the Deadeye) into Two Fang?

EDIT: If you like the Recursion, the build you have above, with the Two Fang change I suggested above, is basically the build I use to abuse it to the max. Pearl, Deadeye, Recursion work well together.

That’s a pretty good idea especially if you want to use the recursion. I want to get the most out of Gitm with this build so I’m going to have to keep persistence hunter. This is what I have planned but I’m working on a sub for the Brainstormer.

I may drop a point or two from overclocked though

I have never really been a fan of Overcoocked. I feel like the bonuses are too small for the point investment. I have had my mind changed before though. I used to think Second Intention was trash tier and now I spec it in almost all my builds.

@megadethwm The thing I find interesting about your build (and Fl4k’s builds in general, but not trying to get too OT), is that it is almost literally exactly the same as my build, except I don’t run FA at all, pretty much ever. I only ever run Rakks. We have a few points differently allocated (maybe 6-8 total), but most of them are the same.

But what I do like about my build (and your build), is that you can easily switch between FA and Rakks for bossing vs mobbing or vice versa, if you want, and not really have to respec at all. You might need to re-gear, but definitely not respec. And the playstyle between the two action skills is totally different.

Reason 368 why I love Fl4k. LOL

Overclocked is a great skill but depending on what your fire rate already is it can hurt the amount of bullets returned by LNT since it has a cooldown of a third of a second. With the consecutive hit anointment the faster you fire the quicker you build up your stacks though. Since the other variation uses Twofang the quicker I fire the more free bullets I get, so if my skill tree gave me a max of 32% fire rate then that means I can get 32% more punch from the anointment on top of the 50% from Twofang, that’s how I’m looking at it build the stacks up quicker.

Yeah rakks are always a comfy alternative I’d like to work the Pearl into a rakk attack build, but I’m using Anarchy with my rakks ATM and FA makes bosses quick with that.

Also, for tediore weapons like the Execute and Anarchy, more fire rate gets you to the reload faster. I think it has value in that specific instance.

Dude 47% fire rate in addition to second intention makes Anarchy insane.

Anarchy is already 1 hitting everything, what’s the purpose of giving it fire rate? It also already has a fairly strong fire rate considering what it does. You only need to get 10 stacks, and it’s better done through kills anyways since if you spam the reloads you use all the ammo to get them.

True, but when at low stacks you could build them up faster. It doesn’t make a difference at the top end, but I imagine for the low end it would be helpful.

Besides, I was speaking more in regards to the Execute. It is definitely a big help with that gun, especially since the reload is already so fast so the only thing you need to do is get through the mag faster.

Reminds me of my build lol I got mad lucky with a Bounty Hunter with weapon crit, SMG damage and Hyperion crit. So what do you do? You farm for Redistributer’s lol

Hyperfocus is my boss slayer though, like a can off Wotan-Be-Gone. It’s stupid

I also use a Deadeye with +2 Two Fang +3 FaF, for mobbing it puts in work too

Apparently I will forever if the level caps keep going like this :joy:.

Always good to see the Atlas love @megadethwm. I’ve done something similar to this with rak attack at lvl 50. I believe Moxsy has a video explaining that under certain circumstances consecutive hits annoint is the most damaging annointment. Had a 1150+(I believe they went around 1200 for max damage) Q-System with the consecutive hit annointment. Auto aim just seems like the perfect gun for that annointment. A cosmic stalker mod with Atlas crit damage, damage and fire rate. And finally an shock S3RV-8OS-EXECUTE to drop shields and debuff. Never had an ASE annointed It’s Piss, or the COV debuffer. Using either the Q-System or the Carrier I was dropping enemies down the fastest I had ever been. I was even using the Rebel Yell for variety and that ar was producing results. I can only imagine with the Pearl even though it got nerfed today. I’m still working on the Dlc so I haven’t gotten mine yet.

I have a CH Carrier, thing is silly lol

The Pearl is still wrecking I ran a Rakk Pak build with it through the Takedown last night and it was insane.
I should check out that video I’ve been comparing weapons with consecutive hits and 100% after rakks using the Pearl. lately it may help.
