I’m planning on using Amara as my second character and was hoping to have some people look over at the skills I’m planning to get. I’m doing melee elements build, be like a shaman from wow or Korra from the Avatar series. You may wonder why I have some skills in the blue tree will it’s to get the augments that the skill guild said is the best one out of all of them since it heals you without taking damage away from the skills as the others do. I think it’s good since I have accited to the best mobbing skills and two skills that do big damage from close or far ranges. Tell me what you think and what skill tree should I go down as I level? https://bl3skills.com/siren/#1310353105051140100000000005055101310000
Edit: I made a second one that goes down the blue tree a bit to get the second augment in there. https://bl3skills.com/siren/#1310153105051140100500000005035101300000
Still looking for some thoughts.
Where you planning on using the face puncher at all or just pure melee? You can check my build for a face puncher white elephant setup which does enough dmg to work in mayhem 4.
Unfortunately I think pure melee atm isn’t really that good in mayhem 4 since gearbox has been giving pure melee builds almost 0 love.
Well I would defiantly try to get the face puncher. I’m still want to do some melee thing with Amara. Like I could weaking enemys with some element gun or action skill as I get close to them and punch there light out.

This should give you the best melee dmg after phaseslam with some good dmg with weapons as well (the Moar Linoge is really good for what you want to do). You want a life steal relic though and use the Facepuncher to heal from range.
Sound like melee is not that good as I thought it is. What about a this build, would you say it stronger then a melee build?
That would definitely work well for a gun based build. It really comes down to what gear you want to use. The first build you posted would work well with a guns/melee build but I usually think it’s best to stick to 1 thing and min/max your build around that instead of trying to do 2 things at the same time. The face puncher is a really strong shotgun and more than makes up for most of the weaknesses of pure melee.
I would experiment with the gear you have atm and see what works best, a gun build can work with a lot less gear than a pure melee build which really needs bis gear and anointments in Mayhem 4. While melee isn’t as broken as other setups, it can make the game more enjoyable if you like a challenge. The fact that you can equip a recursion, anarchy or mirv Tediore + driver com and run the true takedown in easy mode doesn’t necessarily mean that its the best way to enjoy the game.
The biggest immediate improvement I could see for that build would be moving a single point from Violent Tapestry into Remnant. If you are using powerful, single shot weapons, like sniper rifles which combine really easily with phasegrasp, you will notice a big difference from that single point.
Here’s what I came up with. Using soul sap each time.

to get ties that bind.

closest to your builds, and focused on getting quick action skill healing.
so you won’t need a knife drain relic.
is probably best with phasegrasp. idk I’m not fully sure
THey can’t easily be compared using the test dummy, as the second one uses boosts from rush stacks and action skill damage.
1st build can mob, 2nd is mostly for 1 v 1.
melee dot is bad so if you’re mostly doing melee damage you shouldn’t miss anima.
I don’t have much investment in samsara because it doesn’t work with phasegrasp/ties that bind.
