[Build] Band of Sappearl Moze

I’d like to share my True Takedown Moze build based on the new Sapper class mod, Pearl artifact, and Band of Sitorak (hence the name of the build).

Gear:

  • Sapper - rolls with dmg and mag boost are ideal

  • Pearl artifact - everyone will get this just by playing DLC2. The consecutive hits and multiplicative bonus makes this artifact really strong. Check Zkarmaa’s video in YouTube. Rolls with mag boost are best in my opinion

  • Sitorak - the main point here is it gives Moze extra weapon damage and max health. You can replace this with Stop Gap but in all TDs I’ve run with Sapper, Moze always ends up with 0 shield. So why not just take advantage of this fact and I believe Sitorak fits the bill. The addition of the “Too Angry to Die” GR makes FFYL recovery way easier and this allows us to take a more aggresive gear like this shield . Also I would go with a Cryo or Corrosive anoinment.
  • Cloning Maddening Tracker - I think this is Moze best grenade but a Recurring Hex should work as well. I don’t think specific grenades matter much with this build.

  • Rad or Shock Redistributor - best for mobbing and “sapping” with this build. It works against Wotan. You won’t kill him quick with this gun but he won’t kill you either. Get one with mag size of 40+. A 27+ mag works if you have a nice mag size bonus from your Pearl and Sapper com. For the anointment, I would go with the Consecutive Hits anointment.

Honorable gun mentions:
I think any high fire rate and high dmg guns would work with this build. The ones I tried with this build for FFYL and killing badasses:

  • Corrosive Soulrender
  • Rad / corrosive Scourge
  • Rad Lob

In theory Hyperfocus would work with this build as well, but I haven’t tested it yet. I am only sharing what I had used already at lvl 57.

Gameplay:
It’s really straightforward:

  1. Enter/exit IB to activate ASE.

  2. Aim and shoot.

Make sure you run towards where the enemies are. DO NOT HIDE OR TAKE COVER BECAUSE YOU WILL DIE MORE. Remember the phrase: " The longer Moze hits an enemy, the more she survives".

  1. Rinse and repeat.

Issues with this build

  • There’s too much explosions happening on the screen which prevents you from aiming properly.
  • If you can’t latch on an enemy immediately, you go to FFYL immediately (the new GR rank works wonders against this scenario)
  • Hell hounds are still annoying. It’s not their shield sapping mechanism.you need to worry (you actually want that). It’s their mobility and jumping all around that’s annoying.

Skill tree
The skill tree is basically your usual Splash Moze build with all DW and BT. No skill points in the SoR tree. If you replace Sapper with Blast Master, you’d be great in everything minus True Takedown

Trivia
Prior to the lvl 57 cap, I run this build with a Blast Master and Scourge. So if you are bored with Sapper, run with BM and Scourge (I dont recommend this for True Takedown unless you got the patience. I DONT).

You can run a 0 ammo Scourge with this build!
