I want to use a dahl assault rifle now that they have been buffed alot. But not sure which one is the best one. Or one that alot of ppl prefer.
Star Helix out of the ones that I tested. Itās pretty nice after the buff.

Personally I have a soft spot for the Barrage because itās just a no-scope beast against low-mid tier enemies, but against tough ones and bosses itās pretty useless as it has no special effect. Star Helix comes to mind of course, but most of all I want to mention the Breath of the Dying.
Its special effect deals a TON of damage when it hits and it has a crazy interaction with Wotanās lower half that can instakill it. I believe the BotD is the one to look out for, itās amazing.

Star Helix definitely . Maybe a kaos. Stay away from The Breath of The Dying unless youāre doing Handsome Jackpot.

Itās pretty weak. The trigger to cause the radial blast must be death by bullet or you wonāt trigger the blast. Dotās donāt count and shooting the heavies backpack wonāt trigger it either. It takes a few clips to kill an mob and even then the blast wonāt trigger if thereās a dot on them. Itās very,very inconsistent and yes, if youāre lucky you can kinda kill wotan fast as long as nobody breaks the glass before you do. I mean it is stronger than before but barely. On M4 scaled to 4 players youāre better off vaulting it as itās not gonna keep up with current meta weapons. Thatās why i said itās good in the Handsome Jackpot dlc as the loaders donāt have shieldās. I took it to M4 takedown and it was underwhelming to say the least.

The clear winners are the Star Helix and the BotD for sure, before the buff they were good guns, now theyāre awesome.
The kaos I read that now is really powerful, with a lot of DPS and the special effect on top of that.
The barrage and the warlord both do almost 1000 damage per shot, both are good weapons in their own right, but not as good as the mentioned previously.
I think the biggest loser is the Good juju, it has the highest base damage but the burst delay is huge, so in comparison itās not that good and itās a pain to farm (Iām looking at you Rampager).
TLDR: All the DAHL AR are awesome now, you canāt go wrong with any weapon you pick, but the Star Helix and the BotD are above the rest.

My Zane has always had a Star Helix in his loadout. Was really good before the buff, fantastic now after.
I just picked up a Corrosive Kaos today. Really nice AR. Good performance.
I have never seen a BotD so canāt cmment.
Tip moxxi enough to get a nice annointed Hail, itās pretty decent against mobs if you can get the hang of its projectiles. The purple Dahl alien barrel, Mngwa?? I believe, is surprisingly fun. Not meta weapons but I have cleared Athena on M4 with them both in respectable time.

Itās easier to use on BL3, the bullets donāt arc as high.

Iām loving the Warlord and the Star Helix. Iām actually using an Arctic Star Helix in the Takedown.
Oh yeah, love the Kaos now too. They all feel really good. Give us more Gearbox!

I did a tvhm run of the dlc and the breath of the dying absolutely shredded. With so many armored enemies, plus cryo 100 annoint it was beastly.
