List of All Splash Weapons

List of All Splash Weapons

As a Moze main, I see the question of which weapons do splash damage coming up frequently. So I created a list of all weapons that do splash. These are all hand tested (PS4 and PC). Thank you to the other community members for helping out, if anyone finds a mistake please let me know.

Updates

DLC 3 Weapons & Raid 2 guns added - July 26, 2020

Important:

  • Weapons listed in green do splash damage and can spawn with splash anointments (Gunner 160% and Generic 200%)

  • Weapons listed in red do splash damage, but cannot spawn with splash anointments (Gunner 160% and Generic 200%).

  • Weapons listed in purple with a " (?) " I have not confirmed whether or not they do splash damage. Some of these may or may not spawn with splash anointments. Some of these are tricky to test, and some I just haven’t gotten a hold of to test.

ETech smgs having splash is a common misconception, but none of them do on the actual shot. Also includes a small look at a puddle the tediore shotgun can make, because I saw a question about that here.

The AAA doesn’t do splash, I was mislead
The laser on the burzum doesn’t do splash

I’ll reverse that, thank you.

The burzum, is there something on it that does splash? The weapon card states it.

Yeah, the weird grenade that makes a puddle

Oh man I shouldn’ve known that too (the grenade not the puddle?). I got it mixed up with which gun it was.

9-Volt? I had it as not splash before as well.

Thanks!

@Duk i edited my comment sorry

I’ll have to find one to find out for sure.

Do any of the alien-barrel ARs do splash?

No, other than the Lazer-sploder’s rockets, which, duh.

Shame… thanks though! :+1:

Speaking of which, I shouldn’t have the Blister on here either.

you sure about this?

if the reason you listed it not spawning with a splash anoint is because the ghast call and shield didn’t spawn with anoints at all, the stalker and fearmonger could. its been a few months but iirc they weren’t limited to terror annoints either.

Do you mean am I sure it does splash, or sure it can’t spawn with the anointment?

If splash, yes.

If anointment, no. With the anointments I’m trying to err on the side of caution and not have people farm for something that doesn’t exist. I don’t have a colour code for that haha.

Do you know for sure if it can spawn with that?

i don’t. its been too long since terror anointed stuff has actually dropped, and i didn’t manage to see one drop during the heartbreaker event to tell for sure. i have really good x8 ones with the splash anoint, but i traded for them, so there’s no way to be sure.

however, general rule of thumb is if the main firing mode of the gun is splash, then it can spawn splash anoints. anything that can’t (or doesn’t have splash as its main firing mode and can) is an exception to the rule.

For the record I also think it can spawn with it. I’m just hoping someone can confirm for sure.

Yeah that’s almost always the case with the anointment, except in weird circumstances. Halloween guns are just weird enough and hard to prove I just left it. Luckily it isn’t a big deal because it can’t currently be farmed I guess.

although they could technically still be a thing because of the heartbreaker event and be out there for trading. the fearmonger really is an underrated splash weapon on moze, particularly with a bloodletter setup and the splash annoint, the thing is ridiculous for mobbing, and isn’t awful for bossing either.

Yeah I wonder if anyone has gotten some level 53’s. I currently only have a level 50 without an anointment. I liked it in November.

i got 1 53, but it wasn’t anointed

That’s too bad. Maybe it’ll come back again soon.

I didn’t get a chance to farm for one. I mostly forget how it plays.

like a craps that always has its multi-projectiles that you don’t have to reload to get the stickies to blow. its especially effective in radiation.

edit: tbh, i don’t think the splash annoint is it’s best option. kill stack works well because the stickies have a good radius. it also procs MoD like crazy. even with the massive ammo consumption, its not hard to keep from reloading. however, if you’re on bloodletter, you get the most out of a splash anoint. i just love the kill stack anoint on mobbing guns because i’m running blast master and it means i don’t have to hop in and out of IB to proc anoints

I don’t know if the splash anoint is the best option for most guns. Personally, I don’t care for it anymore. I prefer the fire mags over splash. It’s still effective for bossing though.

That could change if I could find the freakin kill stacks. Or if I wasn’t using blast master and enjoyed constantly proccing anointments (I don’t).
