DUAL GUNZERKER a MOZE BUILD

This build was created to fulfill the lack of an option to save your loadout and change it on the run and take advantage of the great skill that is “Some for the Road” without giving away all the raw damage of the Shield of Retribution tree and somewhat Demolition Woman Tree.

Basics of the Build:

  • SWITCH your CLASS MOD and RELIC to make a 180° shift to your gameplay.
  • Make an skill points distribution that can do it all no matter what relic or com you use, an “AiO build”.

GEAR:

We focus on 3 things when we look at our gear:

  • Low Magazines
  • Splash Damage
  • High Damage

Therefore shotguns (MOSTLY), RPGs will be our main weapons.

Flakker

REDLINEs

These will be our main weapons in the case we are using the BLOODLETTER COM, flakker is exceptionally good for mobbing and can do some serious job while bossing.
Redline is my favorite weapon on BL3 so i try to use it as much as i can, if we are using the BLOODLETTER COM we’ll need the anointment " After exiting IRON BEAR, do not consume ammo for 5 seconds" and it can be use as our main bossing weapon.

Bangstick, Bologna Poney and Kielbasa can replace the two previous mentioned guns too.

While using the COMMANDER COM, the flakker can be use as an alternative mobbing weapon and the Redline our main bossing weapon, no matter what anointment does it has.

SCOURGEs

An excellent RPG, multipurposes AiO, can be use as a mobbing/bossing weapon while using the COMMANDER COM.

If you’re looking for an alternative LUMPs can be use for mobbing and QUICKIEs for bossing but these two RPGs are not very consistent on how well they proc our cooldown skills.

CLASS MODs:

BLOODLETTER and COMMANDER COMs

To the point: commander mod give us the skill we need to change our gameplay “Some For The Road”.
Bloodletter grants us an incredible boost in our damage.

RELICs:

Relics wise, i highly recommend getting the SNOWDRIFT prefix is really useful if you’re planning on doing MTD runs SOLO, especially during WOTAN fight.
The subfix vary depending on which COM we want to use, for the BLOODLETTER COM, DEATHLESS is our best option, i think we know this is the best way to get all the gun damage bonuses from DESPERATE MEASURES.

For the COMMANDER COM i found that the SPLATTERGUN suffix is the best, why? because as i said our main weapons will be shotguns, RPG and pistols. Now i dont know if i found some weird interaction here but if you use a shotgun on STICKY MOD and shot at the enemies and then slide you get the bonuses from the splattergun relic and combined with the snowdrift prefix you can slide for a longer time.

Passive Bonuses:

  • SPLASH DAMAGE
  • SPLASH DAMAGE RADIUS
  • SHOTGUN DAMAGE
  • HEAVY WEAPON DMAGE
  • ASC COOLDOWN
  • WEAPON DAMAGE
  • AREA OF EFFECT

SHIELDs:

  • DOUBLE DOWNER (for either of both COMs)
  • STOP GAP - RECHARGER ( while using the COMMANDER COM)

GRENADES

  • CLONING MADDENING TRACKER
  • SPRING EPICENTER

The anointment we’ll look for is " on grenade throw gain 25% damage on grenade throw"

SKILL TREE:

Im going to try to be as concise as i can here and explain some of the choices i made.

Why 5/5 GLIZZLED + 4/5 EXPLOSIVE PUNCTUATION? There’s little to non adavantage on stacking those two skill! TRUE but this build is made for supporting two diffents COMs and both can do it all (bossing and mobbing), while Grizzled wiil help us to get our Iron Bear faster durring mob fighting, Eplosive puntutation will do the same while bossing (where theres fewer adds to kill).

2/3 on THIN RED LINE and 3/5 on VAMPYR:
These are the sweet spot for both “builds”, 2/3 on thin red line allows to maintein health gate while using the commander com and 3/# on vampyr will help us to keep our shield up while using the bloodletter com.

3/3 on BEHIND THE IRON CURTAIN
this skill is not that great, but if you’re using the commander com that little percentage in shield delay/rate will fill your shield a little bit faster and get the benefits of TOPPED OFF.

WHERE CAN I GET ALL THE GEAR?

  • Flakker (MANVARK- KONRAD’S HOLD)
  • Redline (ROAD DOG- SPLINTERLANDS)
  • Scourge (BROODMOTHER- PYRE OF STARS)
  • Deathless ( PHOENIX- SPLINTERLANDS)
  • Splattergun relic (ROAD DOG- SPLINTERLANDS)
  • Double Downer (DOUBLE DOWN MISSION REWARD- SPENDOPTICON)
  • Stop Gap (EL DRAGON Jr- JAKOBS STATE)
  • Re Charger (URIST MCENFORCER- LECTRA CITY)
  • Spring Epicenter (DJ Deadsk4g- SPLINTERLANDS)
  • Bloodletter (SKAG OF SURVIVAL- TRIAL OF SURVIVAL)

Bangstick, Bologna Poney, Kielbasa, Lumps, Quickie, Commander Mod, Cloning Maddening Tracker (VENDING MACHINES, ANY ENEMY)

Tests of both “BUILDS” in SLAUGHTER SHAFT and GRAVEWARD:

WOTAN FIGHT USING BLOODLETTER

WOTAN FIGHT USING COMMANDER

Sorry for the repetitiveness, i need to expand my english vocabulary.
Any suggestion is welcome.

I love “Redlining” bosses, but it is tricky to use on bosses with immunity phases because so many of the stickies end up detonating during immunity. I’ve switched over to using Cutsmans on Wotan because of it, but there has to be a way to sequence Redline shots so that you don’t end up wasting so much potential DPS.

Yes, you’re right, sometimes (I dont know how it happens)the bosses skip their immunity phases if you put enough damage it seems, I’ve seen it happen on Tyreen. Also I like to use it for Wotan double shield, the immunity phase is so short that the stickies can damage him even when he separates from the better half. (Check out the MTD with commander mod)

I may need to try the cutsman cause I know it’s great on Zane and Amara but I guess I give it a shot with my Moze.

Fill out the template here

I’ll add it to the list :+1:

You can animation skip with a handful of bosses (including Tyreen) if you deal enough damage between two immunity phases.

Definitely agree with trying to get enough stickies on Wotan through his second immunity phase to knock down the double bubble shield.

I like how you can switch play styles with just gear changes.
One suggestion, points in Stainless Steel Bear will add to the damage of Short Fuse. (so will Scorching RPMs, but you’d have to change too much to do that) Maybe you could pull points from Fire in the Skag Den for SSB.

I think the ones in EP might be better, both shortfuze and fitsd seem to gain from those bear skills

  • if its worth changing; 30% cooldown on a shield would make up the difference for all but bosses

Yeah it’s great to be able to do that, I would say that the commander mod it’s even stronger than the bloodletter build but I enjoy the last one the most.

My first draft was similar to what you’re suggesting but @twoPIZZA told me that currently there’s a bug related to Stainless Steel Bear. Something about cooldown? Cant remember. That’s why I change it.

It’s a great suggestion and it would be a great change given that SSB will add more damage to Short Fuse than FitSD (if I’m not mistaken)

They both work; the bug with ssb can be mitigated through killing trash and gaining the missing fuel through deadlines

  • only cant always expect it since some are harder to kill

I’m gonna try this, I’m currently using shield with 50% corrosive damage (armour it’s the most difficult bar to go though) but mainly for the Maliwan takedown. 100% sure that for every other scenario the 30% ASC on kill would be better at least for the Commander build.

I agree now that I look at it. You’d have 14 points to use between SSB, FitSD, and Grizzled.

That might make the Wotan fight a lot harder, so wouldn’t be worth the change in a case like that. Hopefully that gets fixed one of these days.

Just to be clear there’s certain situations where SSB can be negative.

  • An instant exit build without firing Iron Bear, and you’re trying to get back into IB within 10-20 seconds, SSB can increase your CDT by about 20% 5/5.
  • you’re not using dead lines/not killing enemies with IB before jumping out (nearly instant exit). For example firing off 2 nukes or target softening. That will drain the fuel bar further and will increase your CDT on exit.

Other than that, usually SSB is fine. If you have Topped Off proccing, 20% of 20 seconds is 4 seconds (not the proper calculation but it’s simple and close enough), that’s negligible if you have any other cooldown rate increasing skills/gear (especially Grizzled).

If you fire IB long enough to ‘catch’ up to the missing fuel on the bar, it has no effect. If you use Dead Lines and kill a few enemies it has zero effect.

My cooldown obsessed opinion, this is by far mozes best all around shield anointment. The 75 health and shield increase is absolutely terrible on most shields for cooldown, but can be great on some shields and builds.

The ASE elements are fine but only 10s is kind of a bummer. Also in my opinion, damage should be boosted but other aspects of Moze shouldn’t be neglected. I’d rather be able to consistently proc 160 splash boosts in <20 seconds than having 10s ASE elements once every 40 seconds.

Explosive Punctuation is straight up bad, I wouldn’t recommend it with the caliber of gear you have available to you.

Once you go shield with 30% reduction on kills combined with Grizzled, you never go back.

the 25% damage on grenade thrown can spawn on shields too. imo it’s the best for shields, and then for grenades, either the stacking 5% WD + 95% reload speed on kill or 20% chance for IB to throw a nade when hit, since they both pair so well with the global damage anointment, and the 20% is particularly useful on the Pee Nade for bossing. with the 25% damage anoint on your shield, you get a lot more flexibility on which grenades have what anointments, without giving up the damage. also, if you’re having to wait 40s between IB hop out and next hop in to proc anoints, something is off. i know you like to use a bit of the fuel up before you hop out, but that’s way too long of a CD between uses.

@Hugostiglyts instead of the Commander COM, have you tried the Tank Gal COM? it’s the other COM with SftR, and it gives SSB as well, which can add even more damage in with Short Fuse, as opposed to just more healing with vampyr. you can take points out of EP and max out vamp instead if you feel you need more than 3 points in it, and go for a 1 SFtR/4 SSB Tank Gal and get a bit more out of your COM.

I have yet to see that anointment on anything but a grenade; so im highly doubtful this is true but take that as you will. Same for “5% stacking” on anything but a weapon. Really hate to see false info spread around, as it gets people that dont know any better hunting for items that never legitimately exist
we’ve had others say terror - cryo and ammo regen were on nades too; thats been debunked aswell (I’ve also been checking vendors whenever possible, even more this passed week - so one would think i couldve seen it on something by now)

Google translates:
“I like “Redlining” bosses, but it is tricky to use it for bosses with immunity stages, as many stickiness will eventually explode during the immunization period. Therefore, I have switched to using Cutsmans on Wotan, but there must be a way to sort Redline shots so that you don’t end up wasting so much potential DPS”

Watch that 1… as its also a translation of the very first comment in the thread (thought it seemed familiar)

He’s not wrong. At least, according to a certain resource online. It could spawn on shield too, but I am not sure it is a live anointment at the moment.

@sonicgundam - I don’t think that shields can spawn with the 25% on grenade thrown annointment
