Which is superior? I’m specifically talking about the Chaotic EVIL, since the Chaotic Good’s reload speed is overshadowed by the +5 in Ready from the L. Soldier.
I like the Ranger COM because of the points in Grit, so it becomes more safe to survive against everything. Maybe this is the difference between the two, because the Legendary Soldier is a really good all around COM.
Against Raids your turret is going to be destroyed before the time runs out, so Sentry isnt that useful in this specific scenario. Preparation helps with absorbing damage with your shield but, again, Grit is the end of all survivability tool in the game. Ready really keeps your DPS going, but so does the Neutral and Good versions of the Ranger COM. But you are talking about the Evil version, so the Soldier wins this.
I would go with the Soldier if Im using guns with splash, as splash damage doesnt crit and guns with splash, like torgue weaponry, tend to reload slowly so Ready comes in. But if you are using guns like the Storm Lead or the Sandhawk, go with the Chaotic Evil Ranger and try to crit with all the pellets.
Hope it helps!
So assuming that I crit with all of the pellets on a Sand Hawk (hell with any gun that shoots bullets), the Chaotic Evil COM would outdamage the L. Soldier in the long run?
I’ll definitely test it out, just wondering why you say that. I guess the real underlying question is “how are critical hit buffs calculated” XD
I do not know exactly how it is calculated, but I think that an increase in the critical hit damage is better than an increase in the gun damage. Derch or Chuck can answer it, I bet.
Also, guns that shoot bullets without splash damage. When splash damage is added in the mix, I guess that the Legendary Soldier comes on top.
