Post Patch Recursion

Ran the takedown solo, M4, TVHM with a pair of x2 recursions, unanointed for my toon (one had a Moze anointment). Took a little longer, but still totally viable.

Mobs do need to be a little closer to get the full affect, and I got better results with the x2 vs the one pellet ones, but still totally viable

It wasn’t even a nerf. They fixed a bug with Wotan’s shield and indiscriminate. I’ve used it on other Vault Hunters and still vouch for it. It’s still better on Amara.

@DocStrangelove. You are like a doctor when it comes to stats and info and I’d like to hear your take on the Recursion ‘nerf’.

I haven’t really looked into the Incursion yet, I used it very little before so I won’t be able to make a comparison. I made a video showing off its current power but even a good while after uploading it to Youtube it was still badly compressed/fugly. I’m currently uploading it again (hence my deleted post).

I may do some testing some day to find out what makes it so strong, but again I have no way of comparing pre- and post-patch.

@DocStrangelove. Np. I got the patch just before bed and am at work now. I’ll run M4 takedown after and see what’s what. :smiley:

The video wasn’t anything serious really btw, just a fun demonstration against Sylestro & Atomic. One shot can kill both on M4, so I’d say it’s still not so bad.

Does recursion still can shoot through Wotan shield? that’s pretty much the only thing I need

OK so I have no idea how many hours or days Youtube needs to remove that awful compression, but here’s my video anyway. You get the idea no matter how bad the compression.

The only real difference I found was that I had to heard mo s around the target a bit more than before. Kind of made it more fun to use.

There has been testing on the recent nerf to the recursion and indiscriminate, they nerfed indiscriminate which was’nt even broken, it has been proven that the anointed on ASE was giving the recursion the crazy ricochet and extra projectiles. GB dont even know their own game and its very alarming nerfing skills that are not even broke :man_facepalming: check out moxsy’s latest video on the subject he goes more into detail on it

I’d rather not watch YouTuber that adds filler to get to 10 minutes.

I don’t even use any bonus projectile on ASE, and if that was the issue but the nerfed Indiscriminate then that is unfortunate. Indiscriminate would before had the possibility to create a Ricochet with every bounce. If it functions like every other Vault Hunter now, it’s still a good gun. I’ve used it on the others and still can make a build around it.

The anointments on ASE do 50% fire/shock damage etc was giving it the extra projectiles, the gun is still totally viable, there was an issue it was penetrating shields when it shouldn’t have been according to the patch notes, nerfing indiscriminate makes no sense it made no change to the gun whatsoever

Seems really stupid to nerf Indiscriminate it that was somehow the issue.

Couldn’t agree more, my take is, it was just a sneaky nerf at Amara and blame something else for it
