Dear God in Heaven, WOTAN's drop-rates are awful

For the 3rd time in a row I spend an hour fighting through The Takedown on M4 by myself , constantly backtracking because I’m forever running out of ammo now that enemies are just bullet sponges.

What is my reward? Two un-annointed Legendary’s. Is anyone getting good loot running Takedown on M4 by themselves?

You may have better results if you do it with a full party because this game is designed such that drop rates are higher with more people.:weary:

Borderlands 3, as is true will all Borderlands games, is designed such that loot quality (i.e., rarity) and loot quantity is affected by the number of people in a party. Thus more people equals better loot. So though the activity is set at 4 player difficulty that has nothing to do with the loot.

I beat Wotan M4 4 times in a row with a party of 3 the other night and we didn’t get a single takedown specific legendary

In the specific case of Maliwan Takedown you are correct, but in the general case of the broader game you are not because party size affects enemy spawns (e.g., more badasses spawn) and enemy spawn affects rarity (e.g., badasses drop higher rarity loot).

I don’t think the rarity of loot is controlled by the number of players you play with. I have got better loot playing duos on takedown than 3-4 players.

I solo’d it day one and got one piece. I ran it with a four stack a few days later and got two. It’s RNG and the R in RNG means random.

We shouldn’t use anecdotal evidence to reason about anything statistically based because the sample size so small.

Well I’m going on my experiences and my experience says I haven’t noticed the difference. Game has so many issues so who really knows.

Just so I’m clear, I’m delighted that you are getting good drops. I’m simply informing you that math says that you shouldn’t infer that that will always be the case because your party size is 2.

hmm i play solo all the time but i did play with other for some mission so i didn’t really notice there big difference and the circle of sloughter and the proving ground
