Damage increase Stainless Steel Bear not working

Dear Community

After several hours of testing, I found out that the Moze Skill Stainless Steel Bear is not working correctly for Iron Bear on PS4.

The Fuel and the armor increase worked as always but I was not able to see the recently added damage increase.

At first i used a naked char on TVHM no Mayham without Skillpoints spent. Then I used a naked char on TVHM no Mayham, only Skillpoints were 5/5 Grizzled and 5/5 Stainless Steel Bear. My target was the new Handsome Jack Dummy and I also tried some Skags on Pandora. Here are the damage numbers which I got unskilled and with Skillpoints spent:

Railgun ~14 k (crit)
V-35: ~7.7k (crit)
Minigun: ~2k (crit)
Melee(stomp) : ~4.1k

The Numbers where the same wheter Stainless Steel Bear was skilled or not.

Can anybody verify that?
Thanks a lot.

Greetings

Yep Stainless Steel Bear doesn’t currently buff damage.

Its wierd too because the skill description adding damage note seems sloppy, ending with 2 periods … maybe it was being tested and they decided against It but forgot to remove the comment in skill description ?

Thay would be my guess

It wouldn’t surprise me either way. As is, IB damage is good. Maybe they’re worried about pushing it over the edge?

Still, a 25% damage increase isn’t going to break M4.

Well there is still damage boost from desperate Measures not Counting on right arm. That they HAVE to fix so it should bring his damage up way more I think

Desperate Measures on IB is the worst skill ever lol. Think about it, when is your IB low on health? When it’s about to die and a dead IB doesn’t deal damage.

I mean you’d have to not take Vampyr which is now mandatory for IB builds.

Its based on mozes health not IB. So if your using a deathless relic IB is getting the bonus all the time

GBX have got to fix the tooltip then because it specifically mentions Iron Bear. I run a Bear Trooper build that abuses Stop Gap and Last Stand so I can’t do a Deathless build. Maybe once the Guardian Ranks get fixed so I don’t need the bonus fuel and armor? I’d love to use a Bloodletter or Bast Master instead.

the new iron bear class mod comes with stainless steel bear as one of the skills. if you can get 5/5 roll on it would put you at 10/5 = 50% damage, 40% from the com itself + reduced fuel from kills, increased max fuel and armor. that’s some serious buffs on a ib focused build.

Already do that with Bear Trooper.

+2 in Stainless Steel Bear for +28% damage when maxed
Specialist Bear for +25%
RPMs for +25%

It’s a 15% damage nerf comparatively for 50% additional Bear Fuel and 50% fuel usage reduction. Also doesn’t rely on any situations to generate the additional damage, you just do it.

Bear Trooper imo is underrated.

raging bear comes with a 40% damage boost and reduced fuel without skills taken into consideration. the possible perk rolls are stoken the embers, deadline, stainless steel bear which both increase max fuel and reduce fuel usage futher. bear trooper is great, but i think raging bear is even better. stoke the embers benefit moze damage aswell.

That sounds good for when the GRs are fixed. Right now, I actually value duration more than damage because IB cooldown is too long and on M4 Takedown, my team relies on me jumping in IB to tank for them.

This is beautiful. And also, yeah the cooldown is horrible now.

If there was a way to do it, I’d gladly use talents to trade some of the health or damage for cooldown. The extra long wait now feels horrible.

On the plus side, when Graveward tips the level and if you’re in IB, you get 99% of the cooldown reset, even if you’re on your last seconds of the IB duration. Great for non cheesy Graveward farming on M4.

I’d love to do that, except when I’m gw farming i just use scourge and unforgiven because I’m weak.

It’s actually VERY good for sustain in boss fights. I think the new class mod is better for mobbing tho.

Oh yeah, I’m planning to do some testing with desperate measures tonight. I can’t figure out if it’s worth the dmg loss from dropping bottomless mags entirely and just going with a railgun left hand and vanquisher in the right*. I was using the railgun the other night and tried left hand rounds for 210k and think with a +3 desperate measures retribution build, you might be able to get it higher. If it worked, you would use vanquisher for healing and railgun for burst damage.

  • TAKE NOTE: LEFT HAND IS THE ONLY ONE GETTING SOME OF THE BONUSES

left hand get all the bonus from desperate measures, right hand get none. so in this case, it might actually be better to use railgun in left + target softening in right.

Oh my God I said that backwards but meant the left was the only one getting the bonus. Thanks for clarifying my stupid butt.

No, you were not wrong i just wanted to add that desperate measures gives ALL the bonus. i’m sorry, i didn’t mean it to come off as i were trying to correct you, and you were not wrong in the first place so :stuck_out_tongue:
