For those unaware, Rakk Attack is a Flak skill with low damage and high spread, nothing special … except that it’s meant to be spammed, with a base cooldown of like ~15 seconds. Pair this with the gun anointment ‘action skill end, increase weapon damage by 100% / 125%’, and you have a zero effort massive damage boost, active near constantly.
Zane can almost achieve something similar by constantly blowing up & summong the Digi Clone, but like all of Zane’s kit, it requires highly specific gear & several active kill skills. Just a matter of effort vs. reward.
If the nap has a cliff, you can toss your barrier down there for a simalar effect. Also, with the updated Violent Momentum and Violent Speed with the right speedslide build your damage scales beyond 1000%, tested it myselfe, but it’s a very taxing playstyle.
its not only weapons that have ase perks either - my fl4k has a grenade and shield that give 50% damage each on ase as well.
it makes me sad that my zane needs to put extra effort and thought in to get anything similar.
If you find a comfortable key to Doppelbang the clone, your cooldown gets pretty close to Fl4k I think, but I’ll agree that a lot of things feel more clunky and more effort with Zane. Sometimes I enjoy that, sometimes I find it unnecessary. Coldbore should be 5 seconds bonus Cryo after swap for instance.
ps4 so its hold down right bumper for me but seems unresponsive at times eek
