Legendary gun "Ogre" and moze

Maybe some moze players have thought about this but I feel like the ogre gun should either be buffed in some way or maybe moze skills changed to where this gun really works with her. If you think about it the gun honestly synergizes really well with the blue and green tree and of course some of red tree but it’s a splash damage gun with very high fire rate it can be double penetrating jas higz mag size
Seems like it would be perfect for something like getting iron bear back almost instantly but it’s not and it doesnt.
Just wanted to out my thoughts on this gun out there and how it should honestly be alot better for someone like moze. She should somehow be able to make this gun godlike lol.

Blast Master mod (+31% assault rifle, +10% vladof damage) with Bottomless Mags, Means of Destruction, and Drowning in Brass is great with this gun. Constant +141% damage, +201% damage after three kills. Doesn’t account for any anointments, etc.

Yea but sadly I find mine sweeper can do more dmg but idk maybe I just absolutely need blast master with assault dmg increase. My relic boosting assault and aoe dmg doesnt make it good enough for me

mindsweeper feels good on single targets, but blast master is definitely the superior COM when it comes to mobbing. the ability to just chuck and fire in general directions and keep the Ogre up constantly while replenishing your nades and outputting consistent dps without worrying about how accurate you’re being lends a lot to situations with really high mob density.

I literally dont regenerate nades for crap with the ogre. I think the means of destruction skill is busted in some way I see people say it all the time. If I fire my dp ogre with 96 bullets I should honestly get something like 6 or so grenades back and that’s like in the middle with luck. But tell me why flakker gives me a grenades almost every shot

It’s because you’re doing a lot more instances of splash damage per shot with a flakker, and if you get multiple enemies caught up in that its a bunch of chances for MoD to trigger. A 6% chance to regen a grenade is not really that high. So on the ogre where you’re probably hitting fewer enemies than with the flakker, it will seem like you can go a long time without getting any nades. I notice that too sometimes. But statistically it wouldn’t really be as unlikely as you might think for you to fire 90 shots and not get grenades, when the chance is only 6%.

are you specced into short fuse? the secondary explosion is pretty important for proccing MoD consistently with an ogre.

Uh idk if you know math well but a 6%chance of something happening and you doing that thing that triggers it happening 90 times and not getting that thing should not actually happen on more than 1 occasion. Plus the flakker honestly gives me a grenade like every shot even on solo target. I did see that MoD is actually kinda broke and moves that directly hit dint count as splash on ps4 for some reason

Short fuse with MoD is a 1.2% chance of proccing. It’s really not needed.

thats a 20% increase in MoD procs. 20% more grenade regen from MoD is significant for generally a single point.

It is effectively 7.2% chance. It’s not a terrible skill, but it’s also not needed to regen full grenades when using an Ogre. I’d rather have forge with a x2 Ogre and just hold down the trigger.

For me , i will never be able to make the ogre work on any VH.
My aim on ps4 is just plain terrible, scoring crits with a dahl weapon is already a hard task for me… And the ogre… well i can’t see anything of the enemy while firing due to explosions and the recoil feels ridicoulous.
And the ogre doesnt feel very strong when about 1 of 10 shots is a crit and 4 other shots miss the enemy… i don’t know if anybody else out here feels like this

This. Short fuse actually kinda sucks once you get into the math of it, and how it interacts with other skills. A Bottomless Mags build with 5 in Fire in The Skag Den, 3 in Means of Destruction, and a Blast Master mod with points in vampyr, pull the holy pin, and Redistribution with +31% assault rifle damage is going to give you the most damage increases and survivability from the demo tree. Would be nice to get further down, but points put into Armored Infantry and Drowning in Brass is gonna do a lot more damage wise, and give you overall damage reduction.

Two words: nagata
