[Updated with build info] I wonder if this is working as intended

Okay so I’ve been playing around with this for a bit and have put together a build with a good level of survivability and damage output. It’s pretty good on grounded bosses that give a lot of space to build speed.

it looks like it works with Spark Plug artifacts as well. I’ve been cycling through a bunch of different things to see how much damage I can get without shooting xD.

@De_Regelaar we need this, lol.

Devs: we reduced the ‘over-powered’ rate at which grenades regenerate because Moze’s grenade build was never intended to be a viable playstyle.

Also Devs: Amara can do 1 Million damage per shot now

Unleash the dragon would probably be better because once you set the dot, you can run around.
What I do is grasp (TTB), punch the grasped enemy, run around. Most trash die pretty quickly to that and the only time I have an issue is when something can’t get the dot.

As for your build, I run almost the same thing with a couple of exceptions. I don’t use jab cross and I max out clarity. I also take dread on the red tree. I should note that I am using the Buttplug and I haven’t quite figured out the hidden multiplier and how it works with unleash the dragon, but I am consistently getting dots of 55k/second.
Melee Build

For boss farming though, I do switch to a white elephant and pull out all my +300% phaseslam facepuncher.

One last thing I noticed, using revelation instead of allure sometimes was able to apply a pretty good dot on it’s own, so if you are looking for a bit more damage, try it out.

Thanks, I use both if you noticed by watching the video. The video and pictures from Billy the Anointed are of him getting 1 Tapped with DoTs over 600k which would be over 1.8M DPS. The video against Taunt was also with UtD.

I use White Elephant for enemies that are immune to DoTs. I think either/or is good for Bossing or Mobbing given the outrageous damage output, mobility & survivability.

White Elephant provides more flexibility as you can keep your momentum by jumping before you shoot. This allows you to ADS while moving at full speed to place all the stickies on or near crit spots.

My biggest gripe with using Melee while moving at top speed is that the hit boxes get really weird. A lot of times if blitz triggers the attacks will whiff even if they make full contact. I’ve also had numerous occasions where im moving so fast I pass right through an enemy. Amara is basically tapping into the speed force.

I have the COM and am working on the Dragon artifact. I’ve never been one for melee though. I enjoy the amara phasegrasping aspect more than anything. So hopefully it works how I think it will. I cant give up my Maggie just yet for a buttplug lol

If you’re more a fan of shooting I’d just use Face Puncher + White Elephant artifact.

You get the bonus of punching people from across the map.

So keep the COM, I have a few white elephant artifacts and one or two face punchers. Skip out on the dragon artifact? I like that idea because I’ve farmed el dragon all day and not a damn thing. 2 cutsman, Maggie, face puncher. Sounds fun!

The clip with the 2 Million damage on Captain Haunt was from a melee with White Elephant. For some reason he is or was immune to fire dots. So I used that and it worked out really well.

I’m just so new to amara it’s crazy. I played maya all through 2, and then some mordecai. But I went moze in this one because amara was shown as being more melee, and I generally hate melee. But I made her sheriff build, and enjoy it a lot. Just with this new com and being so strong and fast, I may have to change

hope not, my old terror melee build got slaughtered in maliwan takedown, if i am spec into damage - i am missing the survivability, if i am spec to survivability - i am missing the damage. this class mod might solve it for me.
