Been playing around with Iron Bear with Explosive Miniguns on M4 and it is actually pretty good but the miniguns overheat too quick, is about my only complaint. I don’t really have any issues with surviving cuz Vampyr with Explosive Miniguns. Now if we could just fix Means of Destruction and the other broken things on Moze. Also the damage to badasses and Graveward could be better…feels like I spend half my action skill on one maliwan heavy on Athenas lol
I was only able to try IB briefly on Mayhem 3 slaughter shaft. He seems much better and i used rocket pods .
Cant wait to try him more.
There might be a bug with the patch where cooldown reduction actually INCREASE his cooldown.
I did hear something about that…that wouldn’t surprise me honestly. Also the Nuke that replaces the rocket pods sucks…did like 20k damage a hit.
Damage and survivability are pretty good now. Base fuel usage however is far too high. I get that there are skills/coms that boost it but I now get kicked out of IB before his health even gets to half.
Like I said my main issue is that the Explosive Miniguns just overheat in like 3 seconds which is absurd, I have no fuel issues with all the skills
I was using dual Cryo mini guns which are supposed to have reduced fuel usage and I got about 15 seconds out of them
honestly i feel it is better, but think Iron bear skill needs damage buffs. i was using on Mayhem 4 and was still barely doing anything to most enemies. i wasnt 100% spec’d for IB damage, but we shouldnt need to do that just to make use of his guns. had most of the Demolition Woman tree filled, and also alot into shield of Rep.
I was able to kill some basic enemies in the Raid on M4 so I think the Explosive Minigun damage is good…idk about the others tho.
yeah i was using homing rockets and Nuke for mine. i went into Athena and the 1st area IB survived great but… couldnt kill crap there. Even more so the big BA guys and the little guy with the nano thingies
Did they fix the bug that was making Iron Bear close as soon as you opened it?
I don’t think there was anything mentioning it. But I really hope it was fixed, waiting almost two minutes just for that is crushing in a fight.

I’ve had it happen about 4 or 5. Makes boss fights… interesting.
Was using shock railgun and the v-35 in burst mode and it trashed Gigamind in M2 with fuel to spare, which it’s never done before last night.
One use of the twin miniguns with the overheat augment with a point in the skill using the same weapon loadouts on IB allows you to nearly wipe out 1/3 of Gravewarden on Mayhem 4 with one use. If I spec’d specifically for IB it would probably be way more. If the Guardian ranks were fixed you could easily spend most of your time wiping bosses in the action skill mode.
Now I’m excited, because that’s what I run, plus Experimental Munitions with Stoke the Embers. Burn, baby, burn!
This is a bit of a tangent, but I do think with all the buffs to Moze to have the skills affect both her and the Mech, they missed an opportunity with having some added synergy with the Skill Matched Set. Should help with reducing the heat your mech produces the more points you have in it using the same load outs to each arm. Also the Mech should also just have an intrinsic bonus with Vladof weapons.
Hm, that would be interesting. How would you like the mech to be bonuses by Vladof weapons specifically though?
Same, yesterday when I was fighting the valkyrie team, IB kicked me out immediately and then I couldn’t move. Needless to say I died…horribly
Yeah, I noticed that too. They better patch that ASAP. It’s unacceptable that a bug like this makes it into gameplay. Sure IB is better but now, I have a 90 second cooldown…pre patch, if I get out of IB asap, the CD was done in 3-5 seconds. Sometimes sooner.
