I wanted to share my fun, albeit broken, melee moze build. I’ve seen a couple of threads asking if it’s possible and is it. While not achieving dps of the completely stupid level, it’s more than adequate for M3+.
To synopsize, where doing melee damage through a gun to apply all melee buffs. These buffs proc life steal and explosives all the while continuously chucking nades. This is a health build and even though we a chunk of shield, we completely don’t care about it. By being able to skip the red tree entirely we can maximize dps through a constant flow of ammo, life, and dps.
The weapon
With 14 pellets it provides massive proc potential. Gun and melee damage increase dps substantially.
The shield
This gives a nice dps boost once u loose the shields. Though you don’t have to go out of your way to loose the shields, dps is adequate while active.
The class mod
This is simply a massive dps boost.
The artifact
This is the main source of survivability and a net source of dps/ammo. These bombs seem to be effected by melee dps They do more damage when the shield breaks so are either tagged melee or % based off of damage done. Either way, they proc in All elemental damage types, unfortunately fire being the rarest. However corrosive is common which helps with armored types. All aoe buffs effect them as well. This sounds amazing but the base damage is about 150-250 dam pending on elem ent. Pretty easy to see happen, if you get to 1000% damage mods that’s only 1500-2500/bomb with a dot % based on damage done. not massive dps but steady.
The nade
These are broken. They seem to be effected by all aoe and nade bonus’s even on the bullets ( with a lower proc coefficient). The best are mitosis I’ve seen so far.
The skill tree
I have all guardian ranks. Some are counter intuitive.
It would be nice to have 11 points in the red tree for armored infantry, drowning in brass, and experimental munitions. However 10 points to get to the real dps performer sucks. DiB is anti climactic for the build and relies on killing too much. Useless in some boss fights altogether. AI has miserably low stats to be worth 5 points too. DiB should not be overestimated. Fire rate exponentially increases dps in this build. The more shots, the more bombs. The more bombs, the more nades and life intake, the more nades the faster everything dies and the more regen the longer you live.
All items are farmable off of Gravewarden and All characters can do this, not just moze. Zane is sick like this.
