Fl4k's Bounty Hunter Com

I’ve been searching for a while and have come back with contradicting answers and a lot of assumptions, and more confusion. So, I thought I’d ask the experts here.

The text on the item card reads:

FL4K has a 3% chance to activate any purchased Hunt Kill Skill when dealing gun damage.

Bosses are now treated as humans, beasts, and robotics for FL4K’s Hunt Skills.

Emphasis mine. The question here - Does this passive “Bosses treated as humans/beasts/robotics” apply to the “Hunter’s Eye” skill? Most people assume this skill applies because:

  • It’s one of the skills buffed by the com

  • It’s one of only 2 skills Fl4k has that varies bonuses based on enemy type

  • Probably the name - “Hunter’s Eye”

However, the com specifically states that bosses are only treated as all types for Fl4k’s Hunt Skills. And Hunter’s Eye, is not a Hunt skill. Fl4k has several “Hunter Kill Skills,” like Interplanetary Stalker, though Hunter’s Eye is not a kill skill. I’ve seen some posts/videos trying to explain it that way. But Fl4k can have passive Hunter Skills as well, as you can see with Frenzy, which is a passive skill but specifically marked as a Hunter Skill. Hunter’s Eye has no such identifier.

So, the ‘evidence’ here kind of indicates that Hunter’s Eye would NOT be included in the second line in this com, while common sense (since this is only 1 of 2 skills that provides buffs based on enemy type, and the fact that the com buffs this skill) would lead one to believe that it IS activated for boss encounters.

Has anyone done any testing or have any reliable source one way or the other here?

Tonight when I get home I can test it, I will have second intention at 5 and nothing else, dump 5 points in Hunters eye and see if it shares the crit bonus. If so the other 2 should follow suit.

Confirmed hunters eye does in fact benefit. Did run without hunters eye on m3, and was doing 3003 dmg crits GITM with negative modifiers, once specced into hunters eye, was doing around 3500 dmg GITM with bounty Hunter equipped on both.

So in that case should be labeled a bug mistype and say HUNTER skills.

(Anyone who reads this please send support ticket and say typo to prevent further confusion)

Wow, interesting. Good to know though, thanks for the investigation!
