For the life of me, I just can’t get this skill to work consistently. My clone and I are freezing enemies non-stop with cryo weapons and mirv cryo hex grenades. I have full health and shields (no deathless or anything affecting max health), but my skill durations aren’t refreshing consistently. Every once in a while they will refresh, but for the most part, they just run down their durations and deactivate.

Is there some secret mechanic I’m missing to get this to work?

Are you positive you have ‘full’ everything. Even 1 hp off and it won’t proc the cooldowns. I’ve been playing with this a lot myself getting to know it, and when I’m extra careful to make sure I’m topped off it procs regularly (I’m using Rough Rider currently).

I’m pretty sure I’m all topped off. I’ll keep messing around with it though, as others seem to be able to proc ccc with no issues. That’s interesting that it can proc with Rough Rider though. So does it also work with Deathless?

Not sure I haven’t tested it yet. Though I do have a Flesh Melter Deathless I plan messing around with on Zane soonish. @GimmickBuilds probably knows.

I’ve just checked to be 100% sure. No cool calm and collected cannot reset action skills while you’re wearing a Deathless.

If you are giving the clone a cryo weapon with double barrel that could contribute to issue proccing it. Since clone cannot proc it with cryo, but only with crits from Brain Freeze, if he freezes something with the cryo then it will never proc on that enemy.

Ahhh…well if that’s the case then the ability description is wrong, but it would explain why it’s not proccing consistently for me. So the only way for it to proc is via Brain Freeze? Not by simply freezing enemies as the description reads?

You can freeze enemies to proc it with cryo, but the clone cannot. The clone can only proc it with Brain Freeze. The thing is if the clone freezes it with cryo before you proc it then it wont work.

Thank you so much for this info. I think it explains why I haven’t been able to consistently proc it.

edit: 100% working now that I got rid of my clone’s cryo weapon. The cryo Recurring Hex thrown by the clone seems to proc ccc oddly. I’m not complaining. Just weird how finicky some of the skills are.

It might be due to the fact that the Recurring Hex hit’s a lot of crits for Brain Freeze. The person I learned the clone thing from wasn’t sure on the Hex either because it’s so hard to test it.
