Double Barrel is the capstone skill in Zane’s Double Agent tree and one of the things it’s supposed to do is to increase gun damage by 20% when the player swaps with their clone. In the following video I show that the increase is not 20% but instead only 14%.
Though I’ve already submitted a bug report here I’m posting on the forums in case I’ve made a mistake so someone can catch it; and if I’m not wrong then maybe the community of Zane mains will this topic in an attempt to bring this to your attention above the din that is the forums .
Did you get a 20% increase when you only swapped once? Because if you didn’t then that’s a problem because the skill description doesn’t say that you have to swap 3x in order to get to the full 20% per swap bonus. Or they could just make the text more convoluted to reflect the intricacies of how it actually works.
i am getting 20% correctly per every swap increasing as base1.2 first swap base1.4 and base*1.6 accordingly i can drop a short video if you want but i would not be lying trust me :d damage numbers do not seem super consistent but i think it ranges between 18.8% to 21%
I don’t doubt you but as shown in my video it wasn’t 20%. I’m going to respec and not put any points in skills that increase damage. Maybe that’s the difference.
i am playing on all patches and hotfixes online and seems to do what it says. i get slightly more than 1.6 on last swap i do not know why it is not consistent but gearbox is gearbox. tested another gun pattern and it also falls into 20% additive
pretty effin weird if you ask me, why shall it be different for anyone. good thing you submitted anyway maybe there is some inconsistency with the skill but imo double barrel spammers can maintain reliable 1.4 for most of the up time.
no i tested through lucians call and b1tch but that should not make difference. base dmg = clone deployed first shot no swap then we have swap 1 2 and 3 seems fairly consistent with both non elemental and elemental dmg.
