The SkekSil Pistol manufactured by COV is a beast and a must try if you haven’t used this weapon. Its great for mid to close range combat with a lot of splash damage from the extra projectiles that seem to randomly proc. edit(correction):

A Transformer shield and a shock variant of the SkekSil has great synergy.

to my attention. Its my new favorite weapon in the game. I hadn’t really liked the COV manufactured weapons until I got one of these.

The reason I’m creating this thread is to bring about it’s awareness and more importantly, find out what elements(if all) can spawn for this pistol. So far, I’ve only seen Incendiary, Shock and Corrosive. I’d like to know if this can spawn with Radiation and/or Cryo?

Edit: I highly recommend going for an anointment offering 50% damage of either Radiation or Cryo since the pistol can’t spawn with either of those two elements. When paired with “fire/electric/corrosive” elements it becomes the monster pistol you’d expect. I have an electric with 50% dmg in Cryo for the next 2 mags. I also have an incendiary with 50% dmg in radiation for the next 2 mags. Both of those are my “go to’s” at the moment. I also have a Corrosive with 20% dmg radiation for a short time. I prefer the 50% for the next 2 mags.

it is in fact a sick gun, I had one in fire, but sadly only level 28

I have a corrosive one (level 41… haven’t found a lvl 50 one yet) that wrecks face. I don’t think I knew it could come in different elements though.

I am searching for info about radiation and/or cryo elements on this pistol. I have been farming this thing endlessly and have seen multiple versions in fire, shock and corrosive. No cryo or radiation so far. Is there another weapon as an example that can only spawn in these 3 elements: “fire, shock and corrosive?”

i love that pistol, mine is fire, didnt know theres other elements, time to grind again.

it took me quite a while before incendiary dropped for me. Keep at it. You’ll get it.

You’re correct, Skeksil is only shock, fire, or corrosive. Sleeping Giant & Cutsman are the same way. There’s actually a fair number of guns with limitations like this, like Rowan’s Call is Shock/Radiation/Fire, Lucian’s Call is Cryo/Corrosive/Fire, Malak’s Bane is Cryo/Fire, Hive is Radiation/Corrosive. And I know I’m forgetting some, and I probably don’t even realize it on some others

I’ll have to look this up and where to farm it, I love COV pistols. I have a anointed double with 50% bonus Cryo damage while sentinel is active for my Zane. When I have bad modifiers like minus AR damage it’s my go to and it wrecks stuff pretty good. Thanks Kurt! By the way you play on Xbox or pc now?

I do love my electric SkekSil on Amara, still shredds as a lvl 47 item w/o annoint at lvl 50.

Btw, the rockets it fires aren’t really random. It’s a burst fire weapon like a dahl and fires one volley of rockets at the end of each burst. Still destroys shielded enemies like nobody’s business.

Yeah still on the box brotha, sadly still no internet where I’m at although I may get a good enough signal to chat sometime with my phone if I’m on. It’s good enough I was playing the event and sending mail to my niece and her hubby at least. You gamer tag still the same as your profile?
